There's only one company in the world that's worth over $4 trillion, and while it was recently joined by Microsoft and Apple, Nvidia still sits as king of the castle as its rivals have slipped beneath this lucrative milestone.

Nvidia recently earned itself another record when it briefly jumped over the $5 trillion landmark in the aftermath of signing a $500 billion deal with President Donald Trump. It's now dropped down to a more than respectable $4.74 trillion at the time of writing.

It's been a massive year for Nvidia, and you'll be kicking yourselves if you didn't invest in 2025. After crossing $3 trillion in the middle of 2024, it then reached its $4 trillion milestone on July 9, 2025.

Nvidia's boom has gone hand in hand with the rise of artificial intelligence, but with this, there have been some obvious concerns. When we're not worried about AI triggering World War III, there are more immediate concerns about what it's doing to people's mental health, or what about the idea it'll simply realize humans are the biggest threat to Earth and flick us off the planet like a bug on a windshield?

It's not just the general public and the so-called 'Godfathers' of AI who are worried about how fast things are evolving, as King Charles III also shares his concerns with Nvidia's Jensen Huang.

Even though President Trump once struggled to remember who Huang is, the King made his feelings clear when presenting the Nvidia CEO with the 2025 Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering (QEPrize).

Effectively the 'Nobel prize' of the tech world industry, seven innovators were given the honor for their work on modern machine learning. Alongside 'Godmother' of AI Professor Fei-Fei Li as the only woman to be presented with the award, Huang was among the recipients. When speaking to Huang at St James' Palace, the King simply said, "I need to talk to you."

The Independent reports that King Charles handed him an ominous letter. After, Huang told reporters: “The King, surprisingly, he reminded me that he wanted to talk to me the last time I was here doing the state dinner, and there was something that he wanted to talk to me about.

“And as I saw him today, the first thing is he said (was) ‘I need to talk to you’."

Huang added: "And as (Charles) came up to me, he said, ‘there’s something I want to talk to you (about)’ and he handed me a letter, and this is a speech on AI safety.

It was the same message he delivered at the 2023 AI safety summit at Bletchley Park, Buckinghamshire.

Explaining his interaction with the King, Huang continued: "He obviously cares very deeply about AI safety – he believes in the power of the technology, the incredible capability to revolutionise UK and the world, but he also wants to remind us that the technology could be used for good and for evil, and so to make sure that we do everything we can to advance AI safety as we advance AI for good.”

When asked if the monarch himself uses AI, Huang reiterated that he uses it multiple times a day and concluded: "I’m going to read that letter thoroughly."

At the ceremony, King Charles made his feelings clear, telling the crowd that "there’s a lot of bad actors around," while also sharing concern that the rate new technologies are emerging is 'just rapid'.
