The very first PlayStation 6 game might've just been revealed but fans aren't impressed.
Can you believe the PlayStation 5 is almost five years old?
The fifth-gen Sony console is undoubtedly still a powerful console today, bringing us the AAA titles like Astro Bot, Helldivers 2 and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Yet, some might argue that we've already reached a point where it has become outdated.
With huge releases like Grand Theft Auto 6 on the horizon, set to be incompatible for millions of players, our console's age might start to show.

The good news is some leaks suggest Sony's PlayStation 6 could be released as soon as the next three years.
In the meantime, Hideo Kojima has given us a peek into the future of gaming graphics.

Ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2025, the Japanese video game designer celebrated Kojima Productions' 10th anniversary with a massive 'Beyond the Strand' livestream event. The showcase was a moment of celebration for the studio, as Kojima also shared some glimpses of future game developments coming from the studio.
This included the previously announced OD and PHYSINT (revealed at The Game Awards and Sony State of Play). If Kojima's P.T., Metal Gear Solid franchise and Death Stranding are anything to go by, I'm sure we won't be disappointed from any future Kojima release.
PHYSINT was originally revealed in January 2024, with Kojima simply describing the PlayStation game as 'next-generation' in the 'action-espionage' genre.
Announced a year ago at a Sony State of Play, PHYSINT appeared to be a return to Kojima's spy-game roots. At the time, Kojima stated that he was still in the conceptual phase, working on characters and stories, so not much was revealed beyond an official poster and some cast members.

One X user shared the graphics of the futuristic-looking game to show us what we could be in for.
X user Genki posted: "Hideo Kojima previously said PHYSINT will likely take another 5-6 years to make. That means it is likely to arrive on the next generation of PlayStation consoles (PS6).

"He said it is still in the conceptual stage and he is mostly working on it by himself at the moment."
Since the game is in early development stages, Kojima displayed some facial animation tests showing what to expect from PS6 graphics. As you'd expect from a next-gen title, the graphics look arguably lifelike and accurate to real-life facial expressions.
It's unclear whether this will be the first game released on PS6, but according to xAI's Grok, this is not a confirmed PS6 game.
Real game or not, the previews weren't enough to keep the hype up among the fans.

"6 years for graphics that look like what’s already available now," one user wrote.
"Yeah it's not gonna look anything like that," another user replied, while another argued: "Honestly couldn’t care less."
Others Kojima fans still have hope though.
"Hideo Kojima games nvr disappoint. Always deliver high quality graphics and great storyline," someone else wrote.
"still trying to find a PS5 on sale and they already cooking PS6," a fifth user commented.
