There has only been a single gameplay trailer for GTA 6 with less than two months before release, yet fans have already cobbled together a fully interactive map of the game's world, letting you explore the streets of Leonida ahead of time.
There are sky high expectations for GTA 6 with over 13 years of development time in the bank, and a key part of that excitement is the massive open world that players will be able to explore.
We know a decent amount about what we'll be greeted with in Leonida ahead of release – especially as the new game returns to some of the series' most iconic locations for the first time in decades – but we're yet to get an official close look at the map from Rockstar directly.
Fans can quell their anticipation with a jaw-dropping new mapping project developed by the Grand Theft Auto community, however, letting them dive into an unbelievably impressive exploration of Leonida that has more than you could even imagine to offer.
Fans can explore Leonida with new fan-made interactive map
As shared by GAMINGbible, 'The Mapping Community' has released a near-enough complete map of the State of Leonida based on all the information we have been given so far, not only sharing all of the biggest landmarks but also the locations of hundreds of stores across the in-game world.

There are currently 2,858 different pinned landmarks dotted across the map, including stores, notable locations, and intractable spots — and while many of them are technically unconfirmed prior to the game's release, the community has managed to be as precise as it can based on what we've been given.
You can even click on certain pins to see where the mappers have got their information from, linking screenshots released by Rockstar and footage from the Extended Look or previous trailers to accurately pinpoint what's in store for Jason and Lucia.

It certainly gives off how impressive the scale of the game is likely to be, and players are bound to already be mapping out road trips across the state that'll be carried out as soon as the game launches.
How does GTA 6's map differ from GTA 5?
Aside from size – as GTA 6's Leonida is likely to be considerably bigger in pure scale when compared to San Andreas in GTA 5 – one of the biggest differences between the two if this fan-made map is to be believed is the overall density.
A common complaint among fans of GTA 5 is how content-sparse the map becomes towards the north, as while the city of Los Santos is as packed as you'd expect from a Grand Theft Auto game, there's little to actually do in the countryside-dominated stretches of Blaine County.

All that empty space is great to drive around in, and there are fantastic views to be had from the top of Mount Chilead, but many players wished that content was better spread across the entire world.
That looks to be changed for the better in GTA 6, as not only does the game remain as dense – if not far more comparatively – as Los Santos in the south east with Vice City, but there are lots of smaller towns and cities scattered throughout the rest of Leonida to keep you occupied.
That also doesn't compromise your access to nature, as there's still plenty of green space in Mount Kalaga National Park, giving you also the titular table rock to scale and see the impressive views from the top.
