The big day is nearly here, and with just two weeks until the next Grand Theft Auto races into our lives, the world is bracing for what's looking like the biggest release of all time. We don't just mean the biggest video game ever, because remembering GTA V became the most profitable entertainment product of all time, you might be underestimating just how big GTA VI will be.
While everyone seems to be an analyst these days, some have tipped GTA VI to make over $5 billion in its first week alone.
There are a lot of figures flying around, with some wild reports that the number of people bunking off or calling in sick when they're not could cost the U.S. economy $1 billion in a single day. It's not all doom and gloom, with one self-made millionaire claiming you could save $5,000 simply by staying in and playing the next chapter of the automotive adventure.
How could GTA VI save you $5,000?

We previously reported on rumblings that GTA VI could produce millionaires, but how could you potentially save thousands just from playing a video game? Known for running companies that included remote-control toys and expanding into electronics, Mark Tilbury has now garnered an impressive social media presence thanks to his financial advice.

His latest bit of advice is to snap up GTA VI and get playing ASAP.
Over on Instagram, Tilbury implored gamers to GTA VI’s $100 Ultimate Edition due to its extra content and ability to wile away the hours customizing your characters: "If it takes you 80 hours to complete, that’s $1.25 per hour of fun. But once you add in side missions and explore the map, it’s down to 50 cents an hour."
Here’s where you can pre-order GTA 6:
That seems like a pretty good way to spend your hard-earned dime, but more than just a pretty measly cost when you break it down, Tilbury went on to explain: "Now let’s say you play for four hours every evening, that’s 50 nights of entertainment. Compare that to going out, where you could easily spend $100 in a single night. That’s why buying GTA 6 actually saves you $5,000.”
We did the math here at UNILADTech, and even if you followed in some of our footsteps and went out every Sunday while spending $60 every week for a year, you'd still only save $3,120. We're not quite sure the numbers add up, although we imagine Tilbury is just having a bit of fun rather than giving genuine financial advice this time around.

Still, many in the comments said Tilbury's viral video was enough of an excuse to justify the many hours we're about to plow into GTA VI.
One person replied, saying: "This is the boy maths we’ve been waiting for 🙌🔥."
Another added: "How I be convincing myself to buy GTA 6 😂."
Others took it more seriously as a third concluded: "Even lower when online comes out. I easily have over 1 thousand hours in GTA V after 10+ years of online and FiveM lol. Gaming is one of the cheapest hobbies per hour."
While we wouldn't suggest you get into an argument with your loved ones by using the excuse that GTA VI is 'saving' money, it's definitely an interesting concept.
