‘Tired’ GTA fans have been hit with yet more disappointment after a new Rockstar Games announcement was supposedly due to drop.
Fans of the video game have been eagerly awaiting an update after rumors circulated social media that a trailer was expected to be dropped today (March 25).
GTA fans have been patiently waiting for years for the next installment of the game, with GTA 5 having been released back in September 2013.

While gamers rejoiced when Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive shared an official update to confirm that the game will be released later in the year, fans have been anticipating that there could be delays.
Many people took to social media to share their reactions to the lack of a new trailer from Rockstar Games.
On Reddit, one user said: “Oh dear I am flabbergasted.”
Another wrote: “WHAT?!?!?! NO GTA 6 UPDATES. WHO COULD'VE GUESSED.”
A third person joked: “They’re releasing it after the game comes out in 2190.”
A fourth commented: “No way really? The random guy in a comment section everybody chose to believe for no reason was wrong?”
And a fifth person added: “Breaking news; gaming company hasn’t said anything about their game! News at 11.”
However, not everyone was so skeptical as one person pointed out: “But what if it was actually later in the day? The day is not yet over.”

What we know so far is that GTA 6 will available to play on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It’s not yet known which other platforms, if any, it will be arriving to.
Heading back to their roots, the game is set in Vice City, which is the original location of the first instalment.
It looks like the place has had a makeover though, after the original was set in 1986, this version appears to be more modern.
Rockstar has described the location setting as ‘the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet’.
Fans caught a first glimpse of Lucia in the official trailer, which was released late last year.
Breaking with tradition, Lucia will be the first ever female protagonist in the game’s history.
While not much is known about her yet, she’s shown in the trailer wearing prison clothing, indicating that she’s found herself in trouble with the law.
