A tech YouTuber has made a shocking discovery after taking apart a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

In a video uploaded to YouTube, the content creator revealed that ‘the camera Lenses on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra are not what you think’.

Zack Nelson, who is better known online as @JerryRigEverything, uploaded the footage to his 9.12 million subscribers where he dissected the phone.

And what he discovered about the camera lenses on the back of the device surprised viewers.

Talking to his audience, Nelson said: “The first method is to take a microscope to the camera lenses.

“At the atomic level, you can see that these new camera lenses are not officially attached to the phone at their base. They are slightly elevated, flexible dust-collecting utopias.

“They don't immediately appear to be detachable, but, you know, we’ll be doing some more testing on that here in a second.”

Taking a closer look at the camera lenses, Nelson went on to explain: “The top 50-megapixel ultrawide camera has a large metal, purely aesthetic ring around

the glass.

“The middle 200-megapixel camera has the same large, pronounced metal ring, along with the lower 50-megapixel, 5x telephoto.

“There's another 10-megapixel, 3x telephoto off to the side. But these camera bumps not actually being attached to the glass kind of reminds me of that fake engine noise that some EVs try to do because, like, they aren't even real.

“Yeah, the ring is for sure secure, and I don't think they'll ever fall off on their own, but they really are over here just glued into place, like a pair of fake eyelashes.”

Overall, the YouTuber didn’t seem too impressed by the new device.

In the video description, he wrote: “They included a bunch of AI stuff that nobody wants. But I’m thinking maybe use some better glue on the camera lenses next year?”

Nelson’s viewers were also shocked, with many taking to the YouTube comment section to share their reactions.

One user wrote: “Bruh imagine paying $1300 for a phone and the back glass glue being weaker than the glue on camera rings lol.”

Another said: “What the hell Samsung. First you downgrade the 10x optical, now you are downgrading s-pen and putting a cheap looking rings on the camera lenses.”

And a third person added: “I feel like the camera rings were an afterthought, they realised they had to do something different.”
