A new iPhone iOS 26 feature has gone viral as it is now tempting users to switch over to Apple Music.

At this year’s WWDC event, Apple made a series of exciting announcements including the introduction of iOS 26.

Instead of going from iOS 18 to 19, the tech giant has made the decision to skip the next seven versions and jump straight to 26.

And it’s not without good reason - this move is to make all of the operating system upgrade sync with the calendar year.

The latest version is expected to drop in September of this year, and iPhone fans have been eager to find out exactly what the update will entail - and one feature in particular has got everyone talking.

New iOS 26 Apple Music feature

The new feature is being added to Apple Music and it’s making people want to make the switch over to the music streaming service.

Known as AutoMix, the function is an AI tool that has the ability to create unique and instant mixes in between songs.

The feature has caused quite a stir on social media, with many admitting that they now want to make the switch.

On Reddit, one user wrote: “Tried automix and all I got to say is Spotify better get cooking or am switching permanently. Spotify hasn’t been moving right these days, they too relaxed. Apple Music keeps introducing new exciting features, they only have to improve their algorithm to win everyone over.”

Another said: “Nows def the time to switch to Apple music.”

And a third person added: “It’s definitely using AI because it works REALLY well if you listen to a song the whole way through then transition to the next but if you just skip to near the end of a song it usually doesn’t work that well.”

It seems to have even caught the attention of Android users, with one saying: “Now let’s hope these or at least some of these also come to Android.”

Other features added to Apple Music

That isn’t the only new feature you can expect on Apple Music with the iOS 26 update.

Users will also be able to use Lyrics Translation and Lyrics Pronunciation to better enjoy their user experience.

Music Pins are also being added to the app, where you will now be able to pin your favorite albums and artists to the top of your home screen.

Think of it as speed dialing your go-to tunes!
