Clever iPhone hack will make organizing your home screen so much easier

Clever iPhone hack will make organizing your home screen so much easier

It's a simple technique but it'll save you so much time.

iPhone hacks are proving to be a bit of a hit on TikTok recently, and some of them will blow your mind.

TikToker Bella Rose (@onlyjayus) has a staggering 18.3 million followers, and shared a handy video with some iPhone tips and tricks way back in 2021.

It featured three useful little tips - the first one concerning your home screen. She explains how you can move apps around your home screen way more quickly than just dragging and dropping individual icons.

The technique is simple. When you're editing your home screen, tap and hold on an app and then, without letting go, tap on a bunch more apps. You'll see that each app you tap gets added to a stack under the original one, which you can then move to a new screen and let go of. Every app will move all in one go, saving you some valuable time.

That's nifty, but the next one is even more impressive since it could actually save you some real hassle. Since Apple added FaceID to its phones, unlocking your iPhone and verifying payments has been super convenient.

However, it also meant that people could try to use your face to unlock your phone without you being able to do much about it - until now. Rose reveals that all you have to do is say to your phone: "Hey Siri, whose phone is this?" and the voice assistant will freeze up your phone until it's unlocked by typing in your passcode.

That's a trick that could actually help you out in a tight spot if someone's trying to force their way into your phone, which is great.

The final tip is more low-key, aimed at helping you enjoy music that you might have trouble hearing.

Rose reveals that your iPhone has audio equalizer settings, including one option that flattens out the frequencies to make sure you can hear lows and highs pretty much equally.

All you have to do is head into your Settings app, then Music, then EQ and choose the Late Night option from the long list of choices.

Of course, you're also free to experiment with other EQs in the list, which might end up suiting your tastes more - there are so many to choose from that you've got a good chance of finding something you like.

Since uploading this video Bella Rose has gone from a breakout star to an established giant on TikTok, but it's cool to see that she was helping people with iPhone tricks from the start.
