iPhone users have been left shocked after noticing a ‘hidden’ detail in the upcoming iOS 26 update.
And not everyone is too pleased with the secret feature after some social media users slam it as being the reason ‘why Apple is failing’.
Taking to Reddit, one user shared the news that Apple’s new mail icon includes a small detail that is so tiny, it’s easy to miss.

In a post, they wrote: “Fun fact: The new mail icon includes Apple’s address written on the envelope
“It says ‘Apple Park, California 95014’. I love when they put lots of attention into small details like this. Definitely reminds me of their skeuomorphism days with this amount of detail, only now it's neumorphic.”

This prompted replies from others, with one person writing: “I’m just happy they fixed the background gradient. Most of the other icons go from light on top to dark on the bottom except mail.”

Another said: “Interesting but what's even the purpose at that scale?”
A third joked: “This is what everyone has been waiting for. Our troubles are over.”
And a fourth user added: “Good riddance to the flat icons. I’m tired of looking at them. In this comparison the right side looks better.”
However, not everyone was happy with the detail, with others taking to the Reddit comment section to criticize the move.

One user said: “I’d be more impressed if it had mine.”
Another wrote: “Ugh, I hate this 3D art. We [are] going back to that old era again.”
And a third person commented: “This is why Apple is failing haha.”
Receiving a reply, another user made the point: “They spend more time hiding font size 2 street addresses throughout their OSes than they do bug fixes. No wonder they’re only worth $3Trillion.”

Apple made the announcement earlier this month at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) that it would be skipping the iOS 19 update.
The upgrade was expected to drop later this year but inside, it has had a name change, now going by iOS 26.
This is due to the tech giant making the decision to have its operating system versions go by calendar years.

The shift will affect every Apple product, so expect the next update on your device to include iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, visionOS 26 and watchOS 26.
iOS 26 is expected to be released in September this year.
