Apple fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as a two year wait might finally be coming to an end, with the release of a long-awaited piece of hardware just around the corner according to insiders.
It's become a given that the items within Apple's main tech line up get a new revision roughly every year, spearheaded by the launch of a new flagship iPhone roughly every September.
Some fan favorite gadgets do seem to become a bit forgotten though, and it can be years before Apple decides to roll around another with another version, giving power users a feeling of frustration as every other product gets an upgrade.

Thankfully, one of Apple's most popular enthusiast gadgets is now set to step into a new generation according to key insiders, ending a lengthy two year wait filled with uncertainty.
What product is Apple rumored to release this year?
As reported by MacRumors, Apple analyst Jeff Pu of GF Securities Hong Kong has revealed that a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra is set to drop this year, delighting many fans who have been waiting for a while.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 released all the way back in September 2023, and while it's more than capable of standing the test of time with its premium feature set, power users will be eagerly anticipating all of the new additions and enhancements that will be on their way with the third generation version.

It will also likely with watchOS 26, bringing a number of improvements that help you make the most of your wearable gadget, although it remains unclear exactly when in 2025 the Ultra 3 will be announced and released.
"My OG Ultra is still going strong," writes one user on Reddit who hasn't felt the wait as much as others. "It's been much more durable than the regular Apple Watches I've owned in the past. Very happy with it."
Others have expressed reservations with upgrading if key features like oxygen and blood monitoring aren't included, although looking at Jeff Pu's timeline that's unlikely to be the case.
What else has been leaked from Apple's lineup?
The biggest addition to Jeff Pu's Apple product timeline this year is the new Apple Watch S11 series, which adds a new version of the standard wearable that received its 10th generation just last year.
