Just as Apple has announced the introduction of a range of new smart products, it has been revealed that we will also be saying goodbye to some older listings.
This comes after Apple’s ‘Welcome Home’ event on Tuesday (October 13) confirmed a whole host of new products including the likes of a new Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini 2, and the brand new HomeView, which is a smart home hub that comes with a seven-inch square screen on a speaker base, a Liquid Retina touch display, and fully equipped with Siri AI.
However, while the tech giant plans to welcome these new items to the Apple Store in the coming weeks, this also means that other products are departing.
Which products are leaving Apple?
Apple announced that there are three products which are being discontinued from their line-up which includes the 12-inch MacBook that launched in 2017, the 6th generation of the iPad, and the BeatsX headphones.
According to MacRumors, Apple Stores have been instructed to discontinue the products and will no longer be able to order parts for it.

That being said, any owners of the discontinued MacBook might still be able to access battery replacements for up to 10 years after the distribution has officially ended.
Apple’s biggest upgrade for iPad mini is coming
However, despite these products leaving, it seems that Apple is pushing forward and it’s out with the old and in with the new.
This comes as rumors swirl over a new iPad mini which could come with the ‘biggest upgrade in years’.
The next-generation tablet is expected to feature a major display upgrade, with rumors suggesting the iPad mini 8 could ditch its current LCD screen in favour of OLED technology, offering deeper blacks and improved contrast, alongside a more powerful A20 Pro chip.

Other potential upgrades include a landscape-oriented front camera and improved water resistance, although Apple has yet to confirm the device or its specifications.
The last time Apple provided an update of the iPad mini was two years ago when it introduced the A17 Pro Chip.
According to Bloomberg, the new version will have the A20 Pro chip, which is the same as the iPhone 18 Pro, and the device is rumored to cost $799, which will mean a $200 price hike from its current model.
Apple introduced the first iPad mini back in October 2012, unveiling a smaller, more portable version of its popular tablet designed to be used comfortably in one hand.
