On Reddit, the person said: “10 months into owning a Tesla Model S and we’re saving cash.”
In the image, it shows how the Tesla owner has spent $1,887 in the last 10 months while running the vehicle.
This is cheap compared to gas, which would have cost around $4,705 for the same time frame, meaning that running the Tesla vehicle has saved the user a whopping £2,818.
This prompted a lot of responses from others, with one person writing: “Holy balls you've driven a lot in 10 months. I've had my Model S for about 10 months as well and my gas equivalent charge is only around $1200 lmao with $1000 in savings.”

Another said: “People who diss Tesla are completely oblivious to the incredible cost savings. Most don’t even care to know. It’s an incredible phenomenon.”
A third commented: “Gas must be calculated based on premium because there is no way regular gas was averaging $4.20 in this state.”
And a fourth user added: “Too bad depreciation has probably negated any savings on gas, at least in my case.”
In other Tesla news, people were left in complete disbelief after YouTuber Harley Perkins took a $70,000 Tesla into a car-buying service to see how much it’s worth after just one year.

Making the trip to WeBuyAnyCar, which is a car buying service in the UK that purchases vehicles directly from the public, the YouTuber first explained that he had bought the Tesla Model Y a year prior.
The influencer went on to say that he had driven less than 15,000 mile in the car so far and had spotted the same model going for around £37,000 ($50,322) on AutoTrader.
However, much to his shock, the YouTuber was told by a representative of the car buying company that the Tesla would be worth just £27,132 ($36,896), almost half of what he forked out a year ago for the American vehicle.
