If you're looking for your next set of wheels, how about squeezing into the world's narrowest car? While Elon Musk is trying to prove that bigger is better with the beefy Cybertruck, one Italian man is going in the other direction.
Instead of splashing out $100,000 on a Cybertruck, you could drive a much more petite electric vehicle to try and help the planet.
In 2014, custom car maker Austin Coulson entered the Guinness World Record books with the world's smallest roadworthy car, but 11 years later, Italian mechanic Andrea Marazzi is coming for the title of 'World's Narrowest Car'.
Looking like it's been on Ozempic, the ultra-slim car is just 20 inches wide and is constructed out of parts from a 1993 Fiat Panda.

As reported by Designboom, the 30-year-old showed off his unique creation at a festival that celebrated 45 years of the Fiat Panda in an Italian town called Pandino.
Measuring just 19.6 inches wide, 57 inches tall, and 133 inches long, the world's narrowest car weighs just 264kg.

There's room for one (very) slim driver, and even room in the back for an equally small person or small child. It's so thin, it can even neatly slot between two parked cars...although we don't know how you'd get out.

The remodeled Fiat Panda reaches a top speed of 15 km/h, which is similar to someone walking.
Boasting four wheels, two passenger doors, and two wing mirrors, there's also a single headlight so it can be driven at night. As you can imagine, Marazzi had to do away with the gas-guzzling engine and replace it with a 24V electric battery and a motor taken from an e-scooter. On a full charge, you can expect a range of around 25km.
Before you rush to place your order, Marazzi's car is a one-of-a-kind, and isn't even road-legal.
Yanko Design's Gaurav Sood described it as more of an art installation, musing: "The narrow Panda invites viewers to rethink proportions, functionality, and playfulness in mechanical design...

"It’s a rolling experiment – part engineering challenge, part tribute, and part public spectacle."
Still, people on Reddit loved the design. One person said: "Is it just me or does this car look like a blue Mike Wazowski."
Another chuckled: "They've got a Flintstones hatch where you just put your feet down on the ground to stabilize yourself."
A third chimed in saying: "People can’t get enough of pointing out how impractical it is. It’s the whole point; the car is for exhibitions, not for transport."

There were other jokes about how it looks like something Mr. Bean would drive or that it had been flattened in a Looney Tunes cartoon.
Someone else questioned what happens if it's windy, but according Marazzi, it's as solid as a brick house. In an Instagram video, he explains: "Many people think that it will tip over just by blowing, but they are wrong.
"Look here – you have to push it a little and it will wobble but it won't [fall]."
Marazzi now plans to enter his Fiat Panda into consideration for the Guinness World Records as the World's Narrowest Car.
