There's more swirling controversy when it comes to Stranger Things season 5, and once again, the fans are proving why they're arguably the most toxic bit of the retro fantasy series. Once heralded as Netflix's golden goose, there are complaints that something is amiss with the final run of the hit sci-fi show.
Away from grumbles about the confusing release of episodes (with the finale airing on New Year's Eve), Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 has been called out for a general dip in quality and has been awarded the 'worst' Rotten Tomatoes rating of any season.
If that wasn't enough for Netflix and the Duffer Brothers to compete with, there have been whispers of behind-the-scenes allegations against David Harbour, as well as recent rumors about 'missing' episodes. In fact, one petition maintaining that the streaming giant is holding back a slew of key scenes has already reached 350,000 signatures.

Before we can settle in for one last trip to the Upside Down, Stranger Things is being hit with more controversy. This time, one artist has been caught in a storm after seemingly making an NSFW comment about Nell Fisher.
Known for playing Holly Wheeler in Stranger Things, Fisher replaced twin sisters Anniston and Tinsley Price from the first four seasons. Holly has become a much bigger part of the ensemble, although there are some concerning corners of fandom that don't seem to be aware/don't care that she's a literal child. This comes in the aftermath of Millie Bobby Brown previously calling out her overt sexualization and the likes of W Magazine listing her as one of the reasons TV was ‘sexier than ever’ when she was only 13.
Fisher is currently just 14, but at the time of filming Season 5, she was actually 13.
Butcher Billy is a Brazilian artist and graphic designer who's covered everything from Black Mirror to IT: Welcome to Derry. Billy has made artwork for all five seasons of Stranger Things, and, honoring the final seasons, created an impressive drawing of Holly.
As reported by LADbible, someone on X responded with: "They even got her DSL’s in this image perfect lol."
For those who don't know, DSL can be used as an abbreviation for "d*ck sucking lips."

Butcher Billy appeared to respond to the OP with a GIF of Tom and Jerry's Tom bowing and saying thank you, which has caused a stir online.
Others quickly noted the response, with one person tagging Netflix and saying: "Do you wanna address this @netflix? employing @billythebutcher who's openly agreeing with disgusting/p*dophilic things being said about the art he officially created of a child actor on one of your biggest shows?”
Defending his actions, Billy shared a post on X and wrote: "I've been hearing a lot from you about a recent GIF I replied to a comment on one of my art posts. There has been a lot of confusion so I felt I should clarify this to you all.
"The next few days have been crazy and I have been replying most of your nice comments with a quick emoji or a GIF, like I use to do on all of my socials. It turns out that one of the comments had an acronym in the middle that I've never heard of.
“The comment looked like a compliment to the art, so I replied back with a funny GIF Turns out that this obscure acronym meant something bad that I really should have checked out before replying! That was totally on me!”
Adding a facepalm emoji, Butcher Billy concluded: "As soon as you pointed that out, I quickly deleted the GIF and the initial culprit user was rightfully banned.
“I reiterate my commitment to ethical values, social responsibility, and respect for human rights, a commitment reflected in my professional and artistic career."
LADbible has contacted Netflix and Butcher Billy for comment.
