Netflix viewers in shock as brother of missing woman reveals major detail cut from viral documentary

Amy Bradley's brother took to social media to share his own thoughts after the documentary aired

Netflix viewers have been left in shock after the brother of a missing woman revealed a major detail that he says was cut from a viral documentary.

Viewers were hooked on Netflix’s latest true crime documentary titled Amy Bradley is Missing.

The doc details the disappearance of 23-year-old Amy Bradley back in 2003, when she vanished from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship headed to Curaçao.

She was traveling with her parents, Ron and Iva, and her brother Brad, at the time and was last seen resting on her cabin balcony in the early hours of the morning before her dad discovered that she was missing on March 23.

Now, 27 years on, the family are no closer to finding her, sharing their beliefs that she didn’t fall from the balcony and instead could have been trafficked off the ship after it arrived at the port.

Now, Brad has taken to social media to share his own thoughts after the documentary aired, including one detail that he believes Netflix overlooked.

On X, formerly Twitter, he wrote: “Thought I would share something that many of you might find interesting.

“Amy had a boyfriend of several months leading up to and during the cruise. He went back to Curaçao with us to search for her weeks later and can be seen sitting in the couch during that press conference between my uncle Paul, who was interviewed and also didn’t make the cut, and my dad.

“They had tickets to go to NY to see David Letterman after she got home. He was in love with her and was obviously devastated.

“He was flown to be interviewed for the Netflix show for 5 hours, but ended up being completely excluded from the story. She actually broke up with Kat to start dating him. He knew about her alternating preferences and he didn’t have a problem with it. Not that her sexuality had anything to [do] with her disappearance anyway, but it paints a more accurate picture of who she was.

“Please don’t ask why he wasn’t mentioned in the series because I cannot tell you that. #sensationalism.”

Amy’s former girlfriend, Mollie McClure, was featured in the documentary where she showed a love letter Amy had written for her just one month before her disappearance.

The letter was sealed as a message in a bottle and detailed Amy’s beg for forgiveness, featuring eerie phrases and were almost like foreshadowing for what was to come.

In the note, Amy wrote: “I feel like there is an ocean between us. Like I am on a desert island waiting for you to rescue me. A message in a bottle, my only hope. I miss you, Mollie. Save me please.”

It was signed, ‘Stranded, Amy’.
