Disney is apparently pulling the plug on one of its most popular Marvel TV series.
Marvel's expansion into television has been nothing short of explosive over the past few years. From blockbuster series like WandaVision and Loki to miniseries like Hawkeye, Disney+ has been keeping Marvel fans entertained between its major theatrical releases.
But recently, there's been one standout show that took a completely different approach to Marvel storytelling.

Instead of focusing on fictional narratives, Marvel Studios: Assembled took a documentary-style approach that gave viewers something they couldn't get anywhere else.
The docuseries went behind the scenes of Marvel hits like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and X-Men ‘97, offering exclusive glimpses into how the massive productions actually came together.
Marvel Studios: Assembled interviewed fellow cast and crew members who shared their experiences working on the shows and the challenges they faced. While Disney hasn't officially confirmed the cancellation yet, the signs seem to align with current events.

The latest episode of Assembled spun off WandaVision with Agatha All Along, but since then, two major MCU films have hit theaters, including Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* - with no hints of Assembled episodes in sight.
The series originally premiered on March 12, 2021, and has since delivered episodes covering different MCU projects, earning an impressive 89% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The audience response on the review aggregator website has been majorly positive.
"Anyone who wants to learn about filmmaking should watch these documentaries. I consider them to be an extension of the films that sparked their existence," one viewer wrote.

"Informative hour-long documentaries that makes you appreciate the passion behind all these entries in this legendary superhero franchise and how committed everybody in the MCU is to make the best damn product they have with whatever material they had to work with," another fan commented.
Someone else simply said: "Beautiful.. made me appreciate the series' even more."

TVLine Insider Matt Webb Mitovich was recently asked about Marvel's plans for more Assembled episodes, and his response was pretty deflating: “I love me a Marvel Studios: Assembled episode, too; alas, I’m hearing that there are no new episodes of the Disney+ franchise planned at this time.”

This means fans probably won't get to see the production process behind MCU projects released in 2025 and beyond, at least not in the immediate future.
With all this said, there's a chance Assembled could make a comeback at some point.
Shows go on hiatus all the time, and Marvel has done this before.
Marvel Studios: Legends just dropped a Riri Williams-focused episode in anticipation of Ironheart, marking the first new episode since December 2023.

Meanwhile, Netflix recently brought back a reported 'cult classic' series that had left NBC viewers hanging with a frustrating cliffhanger.
After adding all previous seasons to its library and contracting a two-part fourth season to wrap up the story, the show shot straight to Netflix's #1 spot and racked up millions of viewing hours.
In the meantime, all existing episodes of Marvel Studios: Assembled are currently available to stream on Disney+.
Fortunately, for non-subscribers, some episodes have also been posted to YouTube, so fans can check it out without a Disney+ subscription.
