People have been left mind-blown after a TikToker ventured inside one of the most preserved tombs found in Egypt.

In a video uploaded to TikTok, one individual shared their experience of exploring one of the best preserved tombs to visit in the country.

In the caption of their video, @kbad_ explained that it is one of the most “beautifully decorated tombs ever found in Egypt”.

They also shared that it’s known as The Tomb of the Vineyards because “it’s covered in colors and stories, and is buried deep in the mountain below 42 very steep steps”.

Taking their 12,100 followers along with them for the journey, they gave a walkthrough of the tomb, highlighting the intricate artwork still visible inside.

Shocked by the incredible sight, people took to the TikTok comment section to share their thoughts.

One user wondered how the Egyptians had been able to paint so well in the dark, with the original poster replying: “They reflected the sun off of shiny metals and different crystals.”

Another joked: “It's so cool that they even put electricity down there. Ancient Egypt was way ahead of the times.”

A third said: “Young me as a little Indiana Jones fan would have been ecstatic from this discovery.”

A fourth person wrote: “Am I the only one who thought they discovered it with the glass protection?”

The original poster replied: “There’s actually a site nearby that shows how they ground up the flowers and fruits and other substances to make the paint.”

Not everyone was happy about the prospect of braving the steep flight of stairs.

One user wrote: “I feel like id have to sit and scoot down those stairs or else I’d tumble.”

Over on Reddit, other people were sharing their reactions to the video.
