Pro Minecraft player warns Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed’s new stream ‘may never end’
Marathon challenge streams are common on platforms like Twitch and Kick, yet popular creators IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat have taken on a challenge that genuinely might never end according to one professional gamer.
Following similar events for games like Elden Ring and the Batman Arkham series, Kai Cenat announced a return to Minecraft with IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins Jr, where the pair cannot stop the stream until they beat several of the game's hardest bosses on hardcore mode.
This would be challenging enough when done on the game's standard difficulty, but with Hardcore mode not only is every enemy at its most dangerous, but you also get just one life per playthrough, meaning the pair will have to start from scratch if one of them dies.
Included within the marathon's checklist is the Ender Dragon, Wither, Elder Guardian, and Warren, and considering it took the pair 106 hours to simply beat the game on Hardcore difficulty last year, many are worried that this challenge could simply never reach its conclusion.
People don't think Kai and Speed will beat this marathon challenge
Addressing the sheer difficult of this challenge, popular Minecraft YouTuber 'highkeyoli' declared on X:

"Professional Minecraft player here: I genuinely think this stream may never end like I'm being so serious."
This sentiment was echoed by many in the replies to Kai Cenat's original post, with one speculating that "this marathon is genuinely never going to end," and another even joking that they'll still be going in 70 years time with boy sporting gray hair.
Something else to consider is the sheer exhaustion that both will likely begin to feel as the challenge continues on, making it more difficult the longer it stretches and therefore more unlikely that it'll ever reach an end.
Many people will be tuning in along the way to see how they're progressing, and it'll certainly be essential watching for the streaming world when they either cross the finish line or finally decide to call it quits.
When is the Minecraft marathon stream going live?
You can tune in to the Speed X Kai Minecraft Marathon on August 7, with the pair going live on their respective channels at 2 p.m. PDT / 5 p.m. EDT, and who knows exactly when it'll come to a close.
Even if they manage to complete the challenge in a similar time to their previous Minecraft marathon, that'll take the stream until August 11 but that seems incredibly unlikely right now.
Fans can watch the stream either through Kai Cenat's broadcast on Twitch or on IShowSpeed's channel on YouTube, with the latter already having a waiting room ready where hundreds are gathered chatting ahead of the stream.
