iShowSpeed shocked fans on a recent Twitch stream after he drank cows blood mixed with milk as part of an Ethiopian tribe's ritual.

Darren Jason Watkins Jr, more commonly known as iShowSpeed, has been having a seemingly extraordinary time on his latest African tour.

Between meeting local communities and competing in a footrace with a cheetah, the YouTuber has embraced every extreme experience Kenya has to offer.

But right when his fans assumed he'd done it all, Speed managed to outdo himself yet again.

In his latest activities, Speed participated in the unique ritual of drinking cow's blood as so 'to be accepted as part of the Maasai tribe.'

"It dead a** taste like blood, it tastes like blood," he commented after drinking it.

For those unfamiliar with the 20-year-old content creator, Speed is on a 28-day livestreaming tour spanning 20 countries under the title 'Speed Does Africa.'

After the clip went viral, the streamer responded to a now-deleted comment that questioned his decision to drink the cow blood and milk mixture, noting the potential health risks from his non-adapted immune system.

Speed responded: “They welcomed me into the Maasai Mara, let me bring my crew and my camera, and showed me how they live day to day. The least I could do was respect that and take part in what they do.”

Before ingesting the cow’s blood-milk mixture, Speed gave a disclaimer for his audience who might find the sight of blood disturbing.

“Chat, viewer discretion, you might see blood,” he said. “If you don’t like blood, chat, I recommend leaving the stream. Just saying.”

A local guide then assured viewers the cow providing the blood would survive the process before explaining what the livestream audience was observing.

“So this is the live extraction of blood from a live cow,” the guide described. “Once they shoot the main vein, the blood has to come out. They have a calabash. … So once the blood is out, they have to put blood here. After putting blood here, they mix with milk. Milk is already inside here.

"They will mix milk with cow blood and that is a very good dish. For us, the Maasai people, we have only three specific dishes. First, we have the blood, we have the meat, and now we have milk.”

Fans are in awe of Speed’s sense of adventure as he embraced Kenya’s local traditions.

But others have been more concerned for the content creator's immune system.

"Another thing not on my bucket list," one user commented.

Another wrote: "Hope he has the proper vaccinations."

Someone else replied: "Cow’s blood is wild though."

A fourth user argued: "Why tf would you drink that?!!! It’s definitely not hygienic".
