People have been left in disbelief after President Donald Trump posted a bizarre Cracker Barrel GIF.

The president took to his own social media platform Truth Social to share a strange AI-generated clip.

In the GIF, it depicted Trump shaking hands with the man in the logo of Cracker Barrel.

Many people took to the internet to react to the post, with one user writing on Reddit: “This is by far the lamest life time I've ever been in.”

Another said: “It’s funny because he’s pretty much the same color as usual.”

A third person commented: “Wtf is happening. Everyday is more and more unbelievable.”

And a fourth added: “I feel like this is something Kim Jing Un would force his citizens to watch.”

There has been controversy surrounding a change in the logo of the Cracker Barrel in recent weeks, with the US chain going for a minimalist look by removing the man, who is known as Uncle Herschel.

This sparked criticism online, including from the likes of Trump and his sons.

The president said: “Cracker Barrel should go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate Poll), and manage the company better than ever before.

“They got a Billion Dollars worth of free publicity if they play their cards right. Very tricky to do, but a great opportunity. Have a major News Conference today. Make Cracker Barrel a WINNER again.”

And it seems like the restaurant chain has listened, as they made a U-turn on their revamp plans.

Taking to social media, the company said: “We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain.

“At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family. As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon.”

The president reacted to the news, writing: “Congratulations Cracker Barrel on changing your logo back to what it was. All of your fans very much appreciate it. Good luck into the future. Make lots of money and, most importantly, make your customers happy again!”

In a statement, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said: “President Trump has unmatched business instincts, and an uncanny ability to understand what the American people want. Cracker Barrel is a great American company, and they made a great decision to trust in Trump!”
