Philosopher credited with predicting covid pandemic had a chilling prediction for a ‘plague' in 2025

2025 is looking like a rough year, at least according to predictions from five centuries ago

Nostradamus is the gift that keeps on giving, yet his presents seem to be full of disasters. Looking at what he's said about our great year of 2025 some have realized that the famous philosopher envisioned a 'plague' that's soon to arrive, among other horrible events that we'd rather avoid.

There's just something so alluring about predictions and prophecies, even if most of the time they revolve around morbid events. Blind mystic Baba Vanga, social media prophets receiving messages from God, and even strangely The Simpsons have all predicted world-changing events, yet the centuries old Nostradamus seems to keep proving himself right.

Despite dying nearly 500 years ago in 1566, Michel de Nostredame (more commonly known as Nostradamus) has correctly predicted some of history's biggest events within his 942 stellar alignment forecasts.

These include, among many others, the Great Fire of London, the French Revolution, the rise of Hitler, and even both world wars, although some do argue that many of these come from 'vague' prophesies that are far reaching in their projections.

Most recently some point to his alleged prediction of the devastating COVID-19 pandemic, and he might have another horrifying gift in store for us in 2025, as reported by OK!.

According to Nostradamus, 2025 will not only see clash and conflict between 'those from the lands of Europe', but also that "the ancient plague will be worse than enemies."

Earlier in the year there were fears surrounding breakouts of the HMPV virus alongside the Camp Hill virus that was spotted within shrews, and only very recently did scientists discover instances of coronavirus in bats, sparking once again fears of a global pandemic.

While it's unclear what the so-called 'ancient plague' could indeed refer to, what also supports Nostradamus' theories is the increasing threats of conflict in relation to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which could ignite further clashes with those 'from the lands of Europe', as he indicated.

On top of this, things also don't look too good if you live in Brazil, as Nostradamus has pointed towards various natural disasters including severe flooding and volcanic eruptions to happen in the South American country, which could come alongside a number of 'unavoidable' eruptions across the United States.

Some have even analyzed that he's managed to predict the 2024 YR4 asteroid that has a chance of striking Earth in under a decade's time, and you can even look towards AI recreations of the philosopher for a new set of prophecies.

Of course, good old Nostradamus doesn't get everything right, and the aforementioned argument that his predictions are a bit vague does leave things in a bit of a gray area - but it's something that's hard to ignore with how many horrific events occur worldwide.
