Flat Earthers around the globe have been left in disarray by one NASA scientist, as he tears their conspiracy theory to shreds with a savage response that's impossible to deny.

There are crazy conspiracies for just about anything in the world and enough fervent defenders to back it all up, but Flat Earthers are not only among some of the most popular but the most defiant in the face of scientific fact.

Theories showing that the Earth is indeed round have existed for over 2,000 years now, yet many remain still wedded to the idea that our planet has a 'start' and 'end' point with the ability to fall off the edge.

Some have been convinced to change their mind - and in rare cases its by their own stupidity - it's often through the efforts of knowledgable scientists who use their expertise to present arguments that frankly cannot be disputed, even by the most dedicated of believers.

One such argument, as reported by LADbible, has been put forward by NASA scientist Dr. James Garvin, who is a chief at the space agency's Goddard Space Flight Center and understandably an expert when it comes to our planet.

Offering a number of different yet equally valid facts that disprove the Flat Earth theory, Garvin begins all the way back in the 16th century with some famous explorers you might have heard of before.

People like Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh wouldn't have been able to achieve what they did if the world was flat like these theories claim, as Garvin proposes:

"They made the first orbit of Earth by sea. If the Earth were flat, they would have sailed off the end."

Reaching a point where the world simply reaches its conclusion like a bizarre waterfall would have made their journey simply impossible, and there was no reason for them back then to pretend otherwise.

There's also all of the information and beautiful sights that we've been able to see since expanding our exploration efforts into space too, which Dr. Garvin is obviously an expert in.

"At the dawn of the space age, in the late 50s and 60s, we were able to see for ourselves that our beautiful home is a gorgeous round object known as a sphere," he explains, and there's no better argument for the Earth being round than simply being able to see it with our own eyes.

That still hasn't quite convinced many Flat Earthers though, as even the Moon landing is considered one of the most popular conspiracies to the point where a SpaceX engineer began to question it.

Dr. Garvin doesn't stop there though. "We have a big round Sun and a beautiful round Earth and a round Mars," he adds. "The roundness of our solar system and our universe is a special thing and we should embrace that as we understand why our planet isn't flat."

It would be a bit weird for everything else that we can see in our solar system to be round yet the Earth is completely flat, and it'd be a struggle for any Flat Earther to argue against that.
