We’re barely in 2024 and it’s already awash with tech news.
Not only do we have CES 2024 fast approaching, which is bound to bring with it a flurry of fresh gadgets, but tech giant Samsung is also gearing up for a big reveal.
The company has confirmed that it will unveil its new Galaxy S24 smartphone range within the coming weeks.

Slated for January 17, the Unpacked launch event will take place in San Jose, California, and, according to Samsung, it will unveil a 'revolutionary mobile experience'.
We can expect the S24 range to add some significant upgrades over its predecessor, the S23 lineup, which was led by the super powerful (and massive) Ultra edition.
'The new Galaxy S series will set a higher standard for the most intelligent mobile experience yet. Experience the epic in everyday life like never before,' Samsung said.

As in previous years, Samsung is expected to unveil three different models within the Galaxy S24 range. If the company follows the same blueprint as it has in the last few years, it’ll unveil an S24 standard model, followed by an S24 Plus model (that's slightly bigger, with a better camera setup and more powerful processor), and then an almighty Ultra model with all the bells and whistles - including a big screen and inbuilt stylus for drawing and note taking.
However, the focus for Samsung this year seems to be on integrating advanced artificial intelligence (AI) into the user experience. The S24 range is expected to feature enhanced AI capabilities for image editing, live language translation during voice calls and interactive weather effects.
Another exciting prospect is the rumor of new AI-powered wallpapers, which will potentially offer a unique visual experience for users to marvel over in between their doomscroll sessions.

While these AI-driven features are the highlight, Samsung will likely continue to improve upon the essentials. Expectations include faster processors, upgraded cameras and new design elements. There's speculation that the S24 Ultra model may even replace its curved screen with a flat panel, which would be quite a shift in Samsung's design approach.
For those eager to know everything about the S24 range, the event will be accessible globally through a livestream on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel, scheduled to start at 10am PST, 1pm EST, 6pm GMT, and 7pm CET.
