The second richest man in the world was forced to rename his luxury yacht after realizing it spells out a horrific three-word phrase.
Larry Ellison is the co-founder of the media and entertainment conglomerate, Oracle, and is one of the richest people on the planet.
But the mogul got into hot water when choosing the name for his 191-foot yacht.
At the time, the billionaire settled on ‘Izanami’, which is a Shinto deity in Japanese mythology and is the goddess of creation and death.

But unfortunately for Ellison, he failed to notice that it spelled out something completely different in reverse.

Put the name backwards and it reads: “I’m a nazi.”
Many people took to social media to poke fun at the businessman for this poor decision, with one user writing: “That is such a classic billionaire blunder that it almost feels scripted by Jesse Armstrong himself. It is the perfect intersection of high-end pretension and a total lack of basic proofreading.”

Another said: “This sounds like something out of Arrested Development.”
A third person commented on X, formerly Twitter: “This is straight out of Succession.”
Over on Reddit, a fourth added: “‘Reality’ is just too on the nose, we must be in a simulation.”
And a fifth said: “I am so tired, y’all.”

Ellison quickly renamed the vessel as ‘Ronin’ and has since sold it, with the boat now being owned by Italian business executive and pharmaceutical industry leader Alessandro Del Bono.

Last year in September, Ellison became the richest person in the world for a short amount of time when his net worth jumped from $101 billion to $393 billion, although Elon Musk has since taken over the top spot.
The 81-year-old mogul first co-founded his company back in 1977 after he had left college and is still the biggest individual shareholder at Oracle.

Ellison has been married six times throughout his life, with his current wife being 33 year old Jolin Zhu, who is also involved in his business ventures.
The pair reportedly tied the knot in 2023, just three years after Ellison had finalized his divorce from his fifth wife, Nikita Kahn.
Ellison is also known for owning a whopping 98% of the land on Lanai, which is the sixth-largest island of Hawaii.
After divorcing his second wife, Nancy Wheeler Jenkins, in 1978, she sold her shares in Oracle back to Ellison for just $500. It’s safe to say, they’d be worth substantially more now!
