Budget airline easyJet has announced a partnership with Starlink, meaning that passengers could soon be able to browse the internet, stream entertainment and message family and friends on the ground.
But that’s not all, because there is a handy way to check whether your flight offers Elon Musk’s Starlink WiFi service before you travel.
The UK airline shared its plans to finally introduce in-flight WiFi for the first time in its 30-year history, striking a deal with SpaceX’s Starlink.
However, it won’t be implemented just yet and instead, travelers will have to wait until at least early 2027 for the WiFi to become available onboard.
How to check if your flight has Starlink WiFi
If you’re hoping to use Starlink during your next trip, there are a few things to keep in mind before heading to the airport.

easyJet has confirmed that the rollout will begin in the first half of 2027, with the installation programme expected to be completed by early 2028, with the tech set to be fitted to the airline’s Airbus A320 and A321 fleets.
This means that availability of the WiFi will depend on the aircraft operating your particular flight and how far the installation program has expanded.
In order to find out, passengers will need to check the official easyJet website and app for updates as the WiFi is rolled out.
In a statement, the airline shared: “Customers wanting to keep up to date with their journey will also be able to access useful information while in the air, from checking their flight status through the easyJet app and website to looking up information about their destination, such as local weather, transport or tourism information. The technology also unlocks the potential for customers to order from the inflight menu from the comfort of their seats.”

Which airlines currently have Starlink?
Other airlines offering Starlink on at least some aircraft include Hawaiian, Alaska, Air France, Aer Lingus, Iberia, SAS, WestJet, airBaltic, Southwest, ZIPAIR and JSX.
Kenton Jarvis, CEO at easyJet, said: “Innovation is in easyJet’s DNA and partnering with SpaceX to bring Starlink’s high-speed internet connectivity onboard for the first time will not only further enhance the experience we provide millions of customers, but means we are offering more of the options both business and leisure travellers want when they choose who they fly with.
“Giving customers the opportunity to get online in the air will mean even greater choice and convenience when you fly with easyJet. Ultimately, it’s yet another way we’re making travel easy.”
Meanwhile, Gwynne Shotwell, President and Chief Operating Officer of SpaceX, added: “We’re proud to bring Starlink onboard easyJet and transform the way their customers stay connected throughout their travels. Fast, reliable connectivity from take-off to landing means people can work, stream, or stay in touch without interruption.”
