One woman has made the wild claim that she 'went to hell' and was 'tortured' by the Devil after briefly dying while on the operating table, recalling the horrifying experience in great detail.
There have been a number of people over the years who have miraculously been able to 'return' from death after a short period of time, effectively resuscitating themselves after doctors claimed that they had passed away.
It gives a supposed window into what many question about the afterlife, as while some scientists have offered their own wild theories concerning what happens when we die, others with the actual 'experience' of it all have recalled their own memories once life had ended.
These have typically involved religious figures or heaven-like lights before they are brought back to life, and some have even experienced this several times after being unlucky enough to encounter death on more than one occasion.

One woman's experience was certainly less favorable that most others who recall their brief stint in the afterlife, as she reveals how she was sent to hell and faced the wrath of the Devil.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Camille Gent is a Christian minister in Oregon, and a medical emergency over a decade ago left her body on the verge of death and her 'soul' in a rather dark place.
She has since recalled feeling as if she was descending into hell, with demons clawing at her flesh and false visions of her family occupying her thoughts. This carried on throughout several 'realms', each more horrifying than the last, only to meet Lucifer himself in the fourth.
Facing the Devil was understandably a nightmarish experience according to Camille, yet she believes that it was worth it to achieve her 'purpose' from God, which was to share with the world the truth of what happens to 'sinners' when they die.
Before she was brought back to life, Camille claims that she was saved by the hand of God from the wrath of Satan, who then lifted her back to Earth and shot upwards by two angels, leaving her in heaven.

She claims she had spent three days in this utopian world and saw her body transformed into a 'perfect' version while God and Jesus laughed joyfully with each other while reviewing the mistakes she had made throughout her life.
"He reached down, pointed his huge finger in my face, and said, 'make no mistake Camille, I know everyone's heart'," she claimed.
Upon waking up from the coma, she remembers the doctors explaining that they had no idea how she survived the health complications she was faced with, and her heart even managed a complete recovery, leaving her without the need of a pacemaker, transplant, or surgery.
