Elon Musk has been indirectly involved in the recent death of a 14-year-old, as the girl's mother has since been charged with the murder she claims was committed to protect her child from the world's richest man.
Law enforcement from Rock Country Sheriff's Office were called out to a house within the small town of Turtle, Wisconsin on Friday, March 20 to investigate a the death of a young girl.
The initial call was received as a welfare check, as the mother initiating the call indicated that her daughter had died and that she herself was injured, and it was alleged that the parent, 41-year-old Tyiece L. Oninski, was the killer.

"The Rock County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Rock County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the death," explained Sheriff Curtis N. Fell in a news release, adding that "more information regarding this investigation will be released at a later date."
Reports from Fox 5 Vegas indicate that Oninski spoke to dispatchers for over 13 minutes during the initial call, claiming that she had killer her daughter, 14-year-old Kuren Rein, and then attempted suicide.
Seemingly central to her alleged motivation for the horrific act was that she "murdered [her daughter] to protect her from somebody else, period," clarifying afterwards that this person was Elon Musk — although the reasoning for this remains unclear.
Drug tests at a nearby hospital following the incident allegedly revealed that she had benzodiazepines, amphetamines, and THC present in her blood, and she now has been charged with first-degree murder, facing an additional court appearance scheduled for April 14 with a $1 million cash bond.

Local police entering the scene of the crime observed footprints inside the house which corresponded to Oninski's blood-covered feet, discovering the mother with a deep cut on her neck alongside slashes across her wrists.
Officials also discovered a sheath and a knife near the deceased body of her daughter, who had been the victim of multiple stab wounds.
Present within the house also was the daughter's grandfather, who was at that point living permanently in a separate section of the building. He claims that he had just woken up when law enforcement arrived, and presumed that his daughter had gone to school that morning already.
Oninski's charges of first degree intentional homicide leave her potentially subject to life imprisonment, and she is expected to receive a decision at the aforementioned court date later this month.
