President Donald Trump has gone viral after he revealed why he doesn’t think he will be going to ‘heaven’.

This comes after Trump admitted that he was trying ‘to get to heaven’ while speaking to reporters on Sunday (October 12).

The president was on board Air Force One with the press when he answered a question about his attempts to arrange a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.

In response, Trump said: “If I can save 7,000 people a week from being killed, I think that’s pretty - I want to try to get to heaven if possible.

However, it looks like the president isn’t too optimistic about his chances as he went on to admit: “I’m being a little cute, I don't think there’s anything going to get me in heaven.”

He continued: “I really don’t. I think I’m not maybe heaven-bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly on Air Force One. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make heaven, but I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people.”

This isn’t the first time Trump has talked about wanting to reach the Pearly Gates as during an interview with Fox & Friends back in August, the president talked about how bringing peace between Russia and Ukraine might get him there.

He said at the time: “I’m hearing that I’m not doing well. I am really at the bottom of the totem pole, but if I can get to heaven, this will be one of the reasons.”

In an email to supporters which asked for $15 donations, the subject line read: “I want to try and get to Heaven.”

In the email, it said: “Last year, I came millimeters from death when that bullet pierced through my skin. My triumphant return to the White House was never supposed to happen!

“But I believe that God saved me for one reason: TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!. I certainly wasn't supposed to survive an assassin's bullet, but by the grace of the almighty God, I did. SO NOW, I have no other choice but to answer the Call to Duty, but I can't do it alone.”

People have taken to social media to react to the president’s recent comments about heaven, with one user saying on X, formerly Twitter: “Of course he wouldn’t he’s a POS.”

Another wrote: “Literally no one in this timeline will make it to heaven lol.”

And a third person added: “This president is making the country the official hell.”
