
President Donald Trump is set to address thousands of people who are attending Charlie Kirk’s funeral.
The memorial event is currently underway at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, with President Trump having previously confirmed that he would be in attendance.
Kirk died earlier this month on September 10 during an appearance at Utah Valley University (UVU) after he was shot in the neck while addressing the 3,000-strong crowd.
The 31 year old was at the university as part of his ‘American Comeback’ tour when a single gunshot was heard.

Kirk was struck in the neck and subsequently died from his injuries.

A manhunt by the FBI ensued and 33 hours later, suspect Tyler Robinson was arrested.
On Wednesday (September 16), Robinson made his first appearance in court via video link from Utah County Jail where he is currently being held.

During the hearing prosecutors shared that they would be seeking the death penalty in this case.
Kirk’s funeral is set to have multiple speeches from prominent political figures including Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
It has been reported that the political commentator’s wife, Erika Kirk, will also address the crowd at the memorial.
The police have shared that there will be a ‘Superbowl-like’ security presence at the event.

The venue has a capacity of 63,000 and the funeral will be open to the public, with attendees required to provide their name, address, email and phone number.
The funeral is being live streamed for people around the world and is available to watch on Rumble, with the title: “Building A Legacy, Remembering Charlie Kirk.”

The memorial will also include various musical performances from various artists.
Following his death, Erika released a video addressing the ‘evildoers’ who are responsible for her husband’s death, claiming that they ‘should all know this: If you thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country, and this world’.
She added: “In a world filled with chaos, doubt and uncertainty, my husband’s voice will remain and it will ring out louder and more clearly than ever.”
