Even though Elon Musk has long since left the White House, his legacy lives on. After helping fund President Donald Trump's return to the Oval Office, Musk landed himself a cushy job as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

We always knew Elon Musk wouldn't be hanging around the White House for long, although his short-lived tenure felt like a tornado through American politics as he tried to cut some $2 trillion from the federal spend.

As of June 29, 2025, DOGE claimed to have saved $190 billion, although some sources maintain it's actually cost the government $21.7 billion. Some sources claim this has hit taxpayers in the pocket for $135 billion, while the axing of USAID is said to have led to an estimated 300,000 deaths. There's no denying that the DOGE was, and remains, a point of contention.

There have been plenty of questions about what will happen now that Musk isn't there to steer the ship, although the DOGE is said to keep operating until July 4, 2026. Although Amy Gleason is the acting administrator of DOGE, one young staffer could be touted as a more permanent replacement. After trending on X, Edward "Big Balls" Coristine is back in the news.

Despite being made a permanent federal employee and being appointed the highest pay grade of Senior Advisor in the General Services Administration, Coristine resigned just weeks later and currently works at the Social Security Administration.

Elsewhere, the 19-year-old DOGE staffer was involved in a violent carjacking that caused President Trump to declare crime in Washington is 'out of control', then federalized the District of Columbia's police force while deploying the National Guard.

Coming away battered and bloodied, it's suggested that 'Big Balls' could now be awarded a prestigious award that was once given to Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr., and Mother Teresa.

At a White House press conference, MAGA commentator Benny Johnson asked Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt: "Given the heroic actions of a member of the administration just blocks from this building, will the president consider giving the Presidential Medal of Freedom to ‘Big Balls’?"

A laughing Leavitt responded: "I haven’t spoken to him about that, but perhaps it’s something he would consider."

As an American civil rights activist, Rosa Parks is one of the best-known women in the history of the United States, so to mention her in the same breath as someone with the nickname of Big Balls has stirred up plenty of outrage.

One disgruntled person wrote: "More proof of how far the US has fallen. Looking up at rock-bottom."

Another added: "Putin has won! His troll army amplified by the tech bros has flipped reality."

A third simply laughed: "SNL level nonsense."

Not everyone was incensed, and since outlets have started covering the story, Johnson has been celebrating the publicity. Others in the replies seem to genuinely be calling for Big Balls to get the Medal of Freedom. Will it happen on this timeline? Watch this space.
