Trump sparks bizarre 'body double' theory after strange detail recent photograph grabs everyone's attention

Two heads of state are better than one

If there's anything we love to speculate about, it's a good government conspiracy.

Was there someone on the grassy knoll? What's really hiding in Area 51?

Before we wrap our heads in tinfoil and go completely down the rabbit hole, there's a popular theory doing the rounds that Donald Trump is secretly using a body double.

Given the President of the United States' larger-than-life personality, love of being in front of the camera, and distinctive style, you might think you'd be able to spot a doppelgänger.

Still, like New York's recent Pedro Pascal lookalike competition had us fooled with a dead ringer for The Last of Us star, could there be legs to the idea that Trump has a body double? We've already seen some pretty convincing Trump impressions on Saturday Night Live from the likes of Alec Baldwin and James Austin, but they're not exactly fooling anyone.

Even though we’re used to Melania Trump body double theories, after a picture of President Trump at a recent NATO meeting went viral, the conspiracy theorists are turning up in droves.

Appearing at The Hague for a NATO summit on June 24, Trump stood alongside the likes of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. Attention was drawn away from this gathering of world leaders, with eagle-eyed fans claiming that something looked a little off with the POTUS' appearance. Notably, the comments are filled with claims that he sent a 'Mini Trump' in his place.

With Donald Trump standing at an impressive 6 feet 3 inches, he definitely looked a little shorter at the NATO summit.

It didn't take long for the body double theories to start swirling, with one skeptic saying: "When I saw this my reaction was 'that's not Trump'."

Another added: "That’s the shortest of the Trump clones."

A third said: "Obviously not the real one. Not tall enough. Loved the people noting he’s in multiple places at once."

Not everyone was convinced, and while the OP seemed to be satire, someone else concluded: "These people are legitimately off their heads. The sale of tin foil must be through the roof with this crowd."

It should be noted that King Willem-Alexander (on the right) is 6'2, while Trump is also next to the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is just over six feet. With claims that Trump has exaggerated his height, the numbers could actually match up. Sadly, your Mini Trump double theories might've been debunked for another day. Oh well, back to theorizing that Melania (or one of her doubles) is blinking for help.
