We've already got a 'Living Nostradamus'

Whether you believe people can predict the future or not, there's a massive market for it. While both Nostradamus and Baba Vanga have been dead for a long time (he died in 1566, and she died in 1996), their legacy lives on. These supposed mystics made a name for apparently predicting the future, with their supporters claiming they foreshadowed everything from the Great Fire of London to 9/11, Adolf Hitler to Donald Trump's assassination attempt.

Despite her death, many still believe Baba Vanga has a lot in store for us. In 2025 alone, she's predicted a massive war across Europe, contact with aliens, and even Lewis Hamilton securing a historic eighth World Championship win with Ferrari.

We've already covered the 'Living Nostradamus' and his musings of what to come, but move over Athos Salomé because the Japanese Baba Vanga is here. Ryo Tatsuki has made a name for herself as a modern Baba Vanga, and with her predicting a mega tsunami in 2025, we're right to take note.

Practice your best Parker Posey in The White Lotus impressions, as Ryo Tatsuki claims the mega tsunami is going to hit South Japan in July 2025. Tatsuki has become known for her prophetic dreams that she's been documenting since the 1980s.

Starting out as a manga artist, Tatsuki's reputation as a soothsayer has continued to grow. She published a manga title called The Future I Saw in 1999, documenting her prophecies, and since then, her supporters have been comparing her visions with real-life events.

In particular, her "March 2011 Great Disaster Comes" dream seemed to eerily foreshadow the March 11 Great East Japan Earthquake. The Future I Saw also ominously described "a new virus peaking in 2020 and returning a decade later," which some attribute to the coronavirus pandemic. Looking at July 2025, Tatsuki warns of a 'boiling' ocean, with some thinking she's predicting an undersea volcano that will cause a mega tsunami. She writes about a 'catastrophic' July 2025 event that will be three times bigger than the 2011 tsunami. Her dream reportedly showed her a diamond-shaped area between the Northern Mariana Islands, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Japan.

She also talks about seeing dragon-like shapes heading toward that region, with this imagery being linked to visual patterns near Hawaii and other coastlines deemed as vulnerable.

Considering Japan sits near the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire, Tatsuki's premonitions aren't as unlikely as skeptics might think.

After all, massive underwater volcanoes tipped to erupt in 2025 are nothing new.

Japan is also positioned by the Nankai Trough, which experts say is capable of causing an earthquake and tsunami. As reported by Times New World, seismologists reiterate that while there's "no scientific basis for Tatsuki's claims," they added that "the location she describes isn't far-fetched from a geological standpoint."

Over on X, many weren't sure what to make of the predictions. If accurate, hundreds of millions could be affected by a Japanese mega tsunami.

One cautious person wrote: "Predictions aren’t certainties. But if there’s even a 1% chance of truth, better to prepare than panic."

Another added: "That's chilling—hope it's just a false alarm. Better safe than sorry though.

Someone else concluded: "This prediction certainly raises concerns about disaster preparedness in the affected regions. It’s crucial for governments to have plans in place to ensure public safety."

Many claimed this Japanese Baba Vanga has the 'Death Note' referring to the popular manga where a high school student own a diary that has the supernatural ability to kill anybody whose name is written inside it.
