Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei promised there would be repercussions to interference from the USA in the Iran-Israel conflict, warning the world about "a blow that will be far more damaging than any harm that may come to Iran."

President Donald Trump seemed impressed with a supposed ceasefire, but just hours after it was claimed both sides would be putting down their missiles, they started raining from the sky once again.

Despite American strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, some claim the threat of the country potentially having a nuclear weapon hasn't been eliminated.

The POTUS also hasn't ruled out another round of strikes as tensions continue to bubble beneath the surface.

According to Reuters, Trump might be forced to reconsider as a group of hackers linked to Iran have threatened to release some personal emails.

The outlet has spoken to one of the hackers, who identified the group under the pseudonym of Robert. The group is said to have around 100 gigabytes of emails that have come from the email accounts of White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Trump lawyer Lindsey Halligan, Trump adviser Roger Stone, and adult film star Stormy Daniels.

This is the same group of hackers who previously released a batch of emails ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

'Robert' said they could potentially sell the contents of the emails, but didn't clarify what was contained inside or any further plans for the information.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi called the incident "an unconscionable cyber-attack."

FBI head Kash Patel reiterated: "Anyone associated with any kind of breach of national security will be fully investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Cyberdefence agency CISA took to X and added: "This so-called cyber 'attack' is nothing more than digital propaganda, and the targets are no coincidence. This is a calculated smear campaign meant to damage President Trump and discredit honorable public servants who serve our country with distinction."

The FBI is entering a new era—one that will be defined by integrity, accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of justice. There will be no cover-ups, no missing documents, and no stone left unturned — and anyone from the prior or current Bureau who undermines this will be…

Halligan, Stone, and a representative for Daniels didn't respond to requests for comment, although Tehran has previously denied being involved in cyberespionage. Reuters previously authenticated some of the materials that Robert leaked to journalists in 2024, with one including an email that appeared to show a financial arrangement with Trump and Robert F. Kennedy’s lawyers. Another included talks about settlement negotiations with Daniels.

Although Robert had appeared to have gone to ground and said, "I am retired, man," the 12-day Iran-Isreal conflict has seemingly reactivated the hackers. They now said they want Reuters to 'broadcast this matter' to show how serious they are.

American Enterprise Institute scholar Frederick Kagan reiterated that the leaks are likely a retaliation without drawing the USA into more strikes: "A default explanation is that everyone's been ordered to use all the asymmetric stuff that they can that's not likely to trigger a resumption of major Israeli/U.S. military activity. Leaking a bunch more emails is not likely to do that."
