The surgeon who examined the fatal wound in Charlie Kirk’s neck has shared a ‘miracle’ that was noticed.

The political commentator lost his life earlier this month (September 10) after he was shot in the neck and killed while on stage at Utah Valley University (UVU).

Kirk was addressing the crowd as part of his ‘American Comeback’ tour at various university campuses across the US when he was killed by the gunshot.

An FBI manhunt took place and 22 year old Tyler Robinson was later arrested under suspicion of murder.

He made his first court appearance on Tuesday (September 16) via video link from Utah County Jail where he heard that prosecutors would be seeking the death penalty.

Since then, the surgeon who attempted to save Kirk’s life has shared a ‘miracle’ that was noticed when analyzing the gunshot wound.

Andrew Kolvet, who is a spokesperson for Turning Point USA, shared on X, formerly Twitter, saying: “I want to address some of the discussion about the lack of an exit wound with Charlie. I’m usually not interested in delving into most of this kind of online chatter, and I apologise that this is somewhat graphic, but in this case, the fact that there wasn’t an exit wound is probably another miracle, and I want people to know.”

Kolvet went on to say: “I just spoke with the surgeon who worked on Charlie in the hospital... He said the bullet ‘absolutely should have gone through, which is very very normal for a high powered, high velocity round. I’ve seen wounds from this caliber many times and they always just go through everything. This would have taken a moose or two down, an elk, etc’.

“But it didn’t go through. Charlie’s body stopped it.”

He added: “I mentioned to his doctor that there were dozens of staff, students, and special guests standing directly behind Charlie on the other side of the tent, and he replied: ‘it was an absolute miracle that someone else didn’t get killed. His bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he’s like the man of steel. It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too’.”

Kirk’s memorial is currently underway at State Farm Stadium in Arizona where President Donald Trump is set to speak.

The event is also being live streamed for people at home.
