This Chinese region lets you experience London and Paris at the same time.
China is famous for its ultra-modern cities packed with futuristic skyscrapers and cutting-edge architecture. From the shining skyscrapers of Shanghai to the dense city of Shenzhen, the vast Asian country is undoubtedly a unique place to visit.
Even more so, the country has impressively recreated the world's most famous landmarks and European towns. Millions of tourists visit these replica cities to experience a bit of Paris or Amsterdam without leaving Asia.
Now, one particular region has gathered social media attention for offering visitors the chance to experience multiple European cities in a single visit.

A TikTok video has gone viral showing the stunning blend of European architecture in Macau, a special administrative region of China.
The clip shows what appears to be the Eiffel Tower rising up alongside distinctly London-style buildings, with the overlay text reading: "Macau is so nice 'cause wdym youre in London and Paris at the same time ??"

Macau maintains separate governing and economic systems from mainland China, which has allowed it to develop its unique character.
The region was under Portuguese rule from 1557 until its handover to China in 1999, making it one of the last European colonies to be returned to China.
The success of this cultural blend has made Macau incredibly popular with tourists. According to data from Macau's Statistics and Census Service, nearly 2.9 million visitors arrived in June 2025 alone, an insane 13.3% year-on-year increase.
The viral TikTok has left viewers genuinely shocked.

The TikTok video was likely filmed at The Parisian Macao, a massive casino resort on the Cotai Strip that features a half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower as its centrepiece.
It's essentially the Las Vegas approach to themed entertainment, but with a distinctly Chinese twist that incorporates both historical Portuguese influences and modern European replicas. But this kind of European blend isn't just exclusive to Macau.
In 2007, a complete town modelled on Paris was constructed near Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. This development features its own replica Eiffel Tower, a copycat Arc de Triomphe, and French-style residential apartments where people actually live and work.
And perhaps the most ambitious project is Shanghai's 'One City, Nine Towns' - a massive government-led initiative that created 10 satellite cities, each built in the architectural style of a different European country.
