New security footage has been released to the public by the FBI which shows how Charlie Kirk’s alleged shooter escaped.

The video appears to have come from CCTV footage which shows the suspected shooter racing across the rooftop of a building close to where the incident occurred.

The political commentator appeared at Utah Valley University (UVU) to a crowd of around 3,000 people on Wednesday (September 10) as part of his ‘American Comeback’ tour.

Kirk was known for being outspoken about his right-wing views and was was answering questions about various moral issues including gun control.

During the event, Kirk was asked by an audience member: “Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America over the last ten years?”

Kirk replied: “Counting or not counting gang violence?”

A shot could be heard immediately after and videos captured the political pundit falling from his seat after being struck in his neck.

It was later confirmed that Kirk had died from his injuries sustained in the gunshot wound.

The culprit is still at large and authorities are conducting a manhunt in a bid to track them down.

The FBI has since released images of a person of interest and made a plea to the public for any information.

New developments have also come through, including the recovering of a weapon believed to have been used in the shooting.

A source from law enforcement has also claimed that bullets found in the rifle appeared to be engraved with messages ‘of transgender and antifascist ideology’.

Now, the latest piece of evidence provided to the public is a clip of a person dressed in dark clothing running across the top of a building before climbing down onto the ground and running away.

The person appears to be carrying a bag but police have not yet identified the person.

Vice President JD Vance flew to Utah yesterday (September 11) alongside his wife Usha Vance to transport Kirk’s casket back to his homestate of Arizona with his wife Erika Kirk.

Following his death, President Donald Trump released a statement on his own social media platform Truth Social, saying: “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
