The billionaire has bizarrely changed his name again

Elon Musk has once again changed his X account name, leaving his millions of followers both amused and confused.

His latest antic comes just hours after news broke that Musk and a group of investors approached Sam Altman with a massive $97 billion bid to take over OpenAI. However, OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman quickly shut it down with a savage response on X.

Musk - who currently heads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) - fired back at Senate Judiciary Democrats on X.

"If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation that would be illegal," Senator JD Vance's original post read. "Judges aren't allowed to control the executive's legitimate power."

In response, Senate Judiciary Democrats reposted with the added caption: "Wrong. Judges decide if executive branch actions are lawful - this is exactly what they do."

The SpaceX founder then responded saying: "No, YOU'RE wrong" adding "Also, have you noticed that anyone with a brain and integrity is leaving the Democratic Party? Just curious."

That’s when an X user named Chris jokingly nudged Musk to "Become Harry Bolz" alongside a goat emoji.

And Musk - always up for a bit of trolling - seemingly took the suggestion and changed his name which is mostly likely a play on the term 'hairy balls.'

He also commented back to Chris with his new alias remarking: "Ask and you shall receive" with a wink face emoji.

Some people believe this is just another one of his infamous internet pranks, while others are convinced it could be hinting at his next big project. A handful of other X users have even suspected that 'Harry Bōlz' is Musk’s online alter ego.

But this isn’t the first time the 53-year-old has used it. He pulled the same stunt in April 2023, confusing his 134 million followers at the time.

And only in December last year, did the world's richest man change his name to 'Kekius Maximus'. This was alongside his new profile picture of Pepe the Frog, a meme that has been used by far-right groups, according to the BBC.

Ironically, the South African has recently highlighted the inappropriateness of impersonating others. After originally changing his name to Harry Bōlz, Musk then followed up with a tweet that said: "An advantage of having organizational affiliation on this platform is that you can change your name without losing verification. More importantly, it helps greatly with reducing impersonation fraud."
