Charlie Kirk’s wife posted to social media just hours before the MAGA influencer’s death describing getting spiritual ‘help in trouble’.
Kirk was fatally shot while speaking on stage at an event at Utah Valley University (UVU) yesterday (September 10) in front of a crowd of around 3,000 people.
The talk was part of the 31 year old’s ‘American Comeback’ tour where he was questioned on his views on various moral issues including gun control.
Just moments before the fatal shooting, Kirk was asked by an audience member: “Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America over the last ten years?”

Kirk replied: “Counting or not counting gang violence?”
A shot could be heard immediately after and videos captured the political pundit falling from his seat after being struck in his neck.
It was later confirmed that Kirk had died from his injuries sustained in the gunshot wound.

Kirk leaves behind two young children and his wife, Erika Kirk, who had posted a Bible verse to her X account just hours before the shooting.
In the post, the former Miss Arizona USA wrote: “Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Users have since replied to the post to express their condolences, with one person writing: “The fact that you posted this before the event, is a testament of the Lord.”
And another added: “Nothing but prayers.”

Shortly after the shooting, President Donald Trump took to his own social media platform Truth Social to share his thoughts, writing: “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

Elon Musk has also notably been reacting to Kirk’s death on X, formerly Twitter, initially reacting after the shooting by saying: “The shot looked real bad, but I sure hope Charlie makes it somehow.”
Authorities are still searching for the shooter, who is believed to have been positioned on top of a nearby building.
