Elon Musk makes shock two-word confession that hints at huge collaboration with Apple

Musk has spoken out about his hopes for his own AI company xAI to team up with Apple’s Siri

Elon Musk has made a shocking two-word confession that has hinted at a huge collaboration with Apple.

It seems like the world’s richest man could have hopes of putting something in the works with one of the planet’s largest tech firms.

But no, the billionaire won’t be swapping his role as Tesla CEO for a similar one at Apple anytime soon.

Instead, Musk has spoken out about his hopes for his own AI company xAI to team up with Apple’s Siri.

On Musk’s own social media platform X, formerly Twitter, one tweet said: “It’s time for Apple to team up with xAI and actually fix Siri.”

The user went on to claim that Apple’s AI is an ‘outdated, painfully dumb assistant’, which they believe should be replaced by Grok.

The post went on to say: “Siri deserves to be Superintelligent. Grok 4.1 is ready TODAY.”

Musk himself replied to the tweet to say: “I’m down.”

Many users took to the comment section to react to the post, with some people sharing views in favor of the potential collaboration.

One user wrote: “If Elon is down, the future of Siri just changed.

Apple + xAI would be the biggest intelligence upgrade in consumer tech history.”

Another said: “I love this idea. Apple should just bring Elon on as a consultant for their brand.”

And a third person added: “I’d rather have a Tesla phone if it was possible to choose.”

However, not everyone seemed as enthused by the idea as one user wrote: “Def not grok 4.1 - it fails on basic tasks (how many ounces in a gallon, what month is 60 days from a date).”

And another person added: “No. We don't need it becoming a bigot.”

In other AI news, the boss of Google issued a terrifying warning on the impact of AI.

Head of Google’s parent company Alphabet, Sundar Pichai, explained that while the growth of investments in artificial intelligence has been an ‘extraordinary moment’, there has been some ‘irrationality’ in the boom.

During an interview with BBC News, Pichai was asked about whether Google would be impacted by the AI bubble bursting, to which he replied: “I think no company is going to be immune, including us.”

While Pichai went on to acknowledge that the rise of AI will affect work in certain industries, he claimed that this is something ‘we will have to work through’, adding that it will ‘create new opportunities’.

The CEO continued: “It will evolve and transition certain jobs, and people will need to adapt.

“It doesn’t matter whether you want to be a teacher [or] a doctor. All those professions will be around, but the people who will do well in each of those professions are people who learn how to use these tools.”
