Elon Musk is beefing online once again, and while he's known for repeatedly throwing shade at former business partner Sam Altman while taking down OpenAI, he's now turned his attention to another giant of the AI world.

With Elon Musk boasting some 234.5 million followers on X, it's not uncommon for his posts to go viral. Known for sharing his views on the LGBTQ+ community, the political situation in the United Kingdom, and how the world has supposedly gone 'woke', one of his most infamous posts linked President Donald Trump to the Epstein files in explosive fashion.

As Musk continues to push his sometimes problematic Grok chatbot, he's taken issue with another artificial intelligence rival in spectacular fashion.

Musk continues to go head-to-head with OpenAI and Altman over claims he was 'defrauded' out of $38 million seed money that was donated in 2015, while also saying that the AI Goliath has gone back on its modus operandi to 'save humanity'.

The tech mogul is now taking aim at Anthropic, which is headed up by CEO and co-founder Dario Amodei. Whereas xAI has Grok, Anthropic is remembered for its Claude LLM, but posting on X, Musk accused Anthropic of being "misanthropic and evil."

This latest rant appears to come off the back of Anthropic announcing that it has just closed a $30 billion funding round and boasted a $380 billion post-money valuation. Cheering its latest win, Anthropic wrote: "This investment will help us deepen our research, continue to innovate in products, and ensure we have the resources to power our infrastructure expansion as we make Claude available everywhere our customers are."

It didn't sit well with Musk, who alleged: "Your AI hates Whites & Asians, especially Chinese, heterosexuals and men."

In a post that's had over 2.1 million views in a matter of hours, Musk's charged rant continued: "This is misanthropic and evil. Fix it. "Frankly, I don’t think there is anything you can do to escape the inevitable irony of Anthropic ending up being Misanthropic."

Joking about his new nickname of 'misanthropic' for his tech rival, Musk concluded: "You were doomed to this fate when you chose your name. The Name of the Wind."

The billionaire didn't expand on why he said these things or present evidence backing them up.

This isn't the first time Musk has taken issue with Anthropic (X)

This wouldn't be the first time Musk has taken a shot across Anthropic's bow, previously taking issue with Anthropic apparently cutting xAI off from access to Claude.

The Economic Times points toward a January 2026 email where xAI cofounder Tony Wu told staff they were no longer able to use Claude and that the company should look into creating its own tools.

In response to this, a vexed Musk wrote: "Not quite on programming, but it will excel in other areas. Anthropic has done something special with coding. It was a helpful motivator that they cut us off and not good for their karma."

He's also known for making his misanthropic joke before, and when Anthropic's Claude was accused of exhibiting anti-human behavior at the end of January, Musk posted: "Always worth remembering that fate loves irony. The most ironic outcome for a company named @AnthropicAI would be that it is the most misanthropic!"

Looks like Anthropic is another one to add to Musk's seemingly growing list of AI enemies.
