Just about everybody will be racing to play GTA 6 when the clock strikes midnight on November 19, yet Elon Musk seemingly won't be turning on his console as he made his opposition to the series clear.
He's made no secret of his passion for gaming, having achieved world-record feats in numerous games – if you believe him, that is – and regularly plays many of the biggest releases every single year.
However, Elon Musk will be skipping GTA 6 if he sticks to his past commitment, and it's all down to his initial impressions of its predecessor and the criminal activity you're expected to partake in during the game.
That still might not spare Elon Musk from an appearance in-game whether he likes it or not – as it would be surprising to see Rockstar pass by an opportunity to parody the world's richest man – but he likely won't be around to see it in-game.
Why Elon Musk won't be playing GTA 6
Responding to post on X where someone else claims that they've never played any games in the Grand Theft Auto series, Musk declared:
Advert
"Tried, but didn't like doing crime. GTA 5 required shooting police officers in the opening scene. Just couldn't do it."

It's certainly not unusual for a game to feature a protagonist willing to bend the law or engage in violence, yet targeting the police appears to have been a step too far for Musk — much to the laughter of many others on social media.
"They're pixels dawg," wrote one reply, reminding Musk that he's not actually shooting at real-life police — something he should obviously be familiar with considering his experience with games.
Another jokingly asked if he followed "the traffic laws and stop at all the red lights," and this would certainly turn even a game as expansive as GTA 5 into a complete slog.

He hasn't explicitly said anything about GTA 6 after it was officially revealed, yet considering this perspective it's unlikely that he somehow has a change of heart on the series as it looks to reprise many of the same criminal activities as before.
Will Elon Musk be in GTA 6?
One question that's on many people's lips, however, is whether Elon Musk will feature – directly or otherwise – in GTA 6 considering his prominent status in the current political landscape.

The world has changed a lot since GTA 5 released all the way back in 2015, with two presidential terms from Donald Trump under our belt and the transformation of politics in the United States — with Elon Musk's ascent and prominent shift to the extreme right part of that.
Many players are already convinced that Musk has already been parodied by Rockstar through a GTA Online character, but don't be shocked if he somehow turns up again alongside President Trump as the series has never been afraid to be a little too on the nose.
