Your iPhone is full of hidden tricks and secret hacks that you can use to enhance your digital life, yet it's one simple texting tip that the Apple community has now become obsessed with, and it could be game-changing for you too.
It's almost impossible to know everything that your iPhone can do, as even those who crawl through the settings of Apple's top-selling gadget can miss some handy features along the way.
With the barrage of new tools arriving with every subsequent iOS update we certainly don't blame you for not catching every new addition, yet you might just have missed one of the best features added with iOS 18.
What is the little-known texting hack?
As reported by the Sun, one of the best features you might not be aware of on your iPhone is known as 'Send Later', as it allows you to schedule messages up to 14 days in advance.

This was revealed in a Reddit thread asking Apple users to share their 'most underrated iPhone feature' that they use every single day, and it was one of the most popular suggestions.
"I love the 'Send Later' option for texting," explained one comment. "There are so many times I want to text someone but then realize it's too late/early/not the right time and I don't want to forget so I use the Send Later option."
This feature was added alongside the release of iOS 18 last September so we don't blame you if you've only just realized it exists, but we'd definitely recommend that you take advantage of it from now on.

"I use it to remind my ex husband to give our son medicine," explains another commenter. "The man's memory is that of a sieve, and he doesn't seem to be able to set reminders for himself. So I can be a nagging ex wife even if I'm not there," she joked.
How to use 'Send Later' on iPhone
Thankfully it only takes a few clicks in order to utilize the Send Later feature, so make sure to follow these steps if you want to delay your messages:
- Open the Messages app and press the '+' icon on the left
- Select 'Send Later' and choose the date and time you want your message to be delivered
- Enter what you want your message to be and then press the upward arrow icon to send

Once you've done that it will be 'stored' in your side of the messages until the date you've sent, which at that point it will be sent as if it were any other text message.
Unfortunately you do need to have a device with iOS 18 in order to use this feature, and it can currently only be used in iMessage conversations with fellow iPhone users, but it's still a great feature you'd be silly to not use.
