It has been just two days since Apple unveiled its latest line of iPhones including the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, as well as its first ever foldable device known as the iPhone Duo.
However, despite the news having only just broken, it seems that Apple rivals are already working fast to copy the phone’s iconic new color.
The tech giant’s annual event took place on Wednesday (September), with the firm announcing the iPhone 18 Pro to the world, which comes in four colors - black, silver, glacier, and burgundy.
The new burgundy option left many fans excited, with some having asked for this addition for years.

But Apple has had barely any time to show it off before the biggest Android rivals appear to have already decided what colour they want to sell you next.

The shade has emerged as Apple's big new fan favorite color for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, and several Android manufacturers have already unveiled devices in strikingly similar shades.
This isn’t the first time this has happened, after Apple made Cosmic Orange the standout color for the iPhone 17 Pro range, alongside Silver and Deep Blue. The bright orange finish quickly became one of the most recognizable features of the phones.

Then, orange began appearing across rival smartphones, including the Honor 600, Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Redmi Turbo 5 Max. The color even started turning up on products outside the traditional smartphone category.
Now, with the new burgundy, it seems this is happening again, with the Poco F9 Ultra already available in a similar-looking shade, while Tecno's Camon Slim 5G and Huawei's Pura X View have also joined the burgundy-ish club.
Even Xiaomi's new 18 Fold has a colourway that looks suspiciously at home alongside Apple's latest Pro models.
Details on the newly unveiled iPhone 18 Pro
The latest model of iPhone comes with some serious upgrades including new capabilities with Siri AI.

The revamped digital assistant will be able to ‘take actions in your apps, including third-party apps’.
Meanwhile, the battery life is purported to be the longest in iPhone history.
Introducing the new device, new Apple CEO John Ternus shared in his keynote address: “I love the idea that the things we make help people be more creative, more productive, and maybe even do things they didn't think possible before. I love that we lead with our values and we infuse them into everything that we do. We obsess over the details.
“We care enormously about design and simplicity. We want our products to be incredibly powerful, but we also want them to be simple and natural and intuitive. And look, at the end of the day, we just want to make things that have a meaningful impact in people's lives.”
