With the release of the latest range of Apple products, including the new iPhone models, iPads, and MacBooks, users are looking to upgrade their devices, and trading in their old tech could get them hundreds of dollars.
This comes after the tech giant unveiled a whole host of new devices and upgrades, subsequently increasing its maximum trade-in estimate for iPads and most Macs, meaning that owners could get up to $365 more.
This followed the announcement by Apple of the new iPad mini featuring an OLED display, so people wanting to trade in their old iPads for a new model will be able to get more cash for their devices.
The same can be said for Mac users as, according to Apple’s latest US trade-in prices, the Mac Pro has received the biggest boost, with its maximum estimated value climbing from $2,195 to $2,560, making it an increase of $365.

iPad owners could get more money by trading in old devices
The updated estimates by the firm will see increases to iPad trade-ins, with the iPad mini and standard iPad having both received $20 increases, taking their maximum estimated trade-in values to $340 and $300, respectively.
Meanwhile, iPad Air owners could now receive up to $525, compared with the previous estimate of $510.
The iPad Pro has seen the smallest increase of the four categories, rising by $10 to a maximum of $915.

Mac trade-in values are getting a boost
However, while the iPad trade-in price increases may be relatively small, it looks like Mac owners will benefit from a greater rise.
The MacBook Pro’s maximum estimated value has more than doubled since May of this year when Apple listed it at up to $690. It now stands at a whopping $1,435, while similarly, the MacBook Air has gone from $520 to $795.
Eligible customers can put their trade-in credit towards a qualifying new Apple purchase or choose to receive the value as an Apple Gift Card, however, it’s important to note that these figures are a maximum estimate and not a guaranteed payout as it will depend on factors such as the condition and age of the product.
