Another month, another round of heartbreak for film lovers as Netflix prepares to boot a fresh batch of titles from its platform.

July’s content purge is already shaping up to be one of the biggest of the year, with blockbuster films, cult classics, and even some fan-favourite series on the chopping block.

From intense thrillers to family-friendly animations, Netflix’s ‘last call’ list includes titles like The Equalizer 3, Scream VI, Barbie, and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, all set to leave throughout the month.

But it's the wave of removals happening on July 1st that’s drawing the most attention — and not just because Hotel Transylvania, Crazy, Stupid, Love, and Twilight are among the many saying goodbye.

Buried among them is one of the most visually ambitious and critically adored sci-fi sequels in recent memory — and you've got just one day left to stream it.

Unfortunately, for fans of the planet Arrakis, Dune: Part Two is officially leaving Netflix US on July 1st, and if you’ve been putting off watching it, now’s the time to hit play.

The Denis Villeneuve-directed epic only landed on the platform in the States in January, making this removal feel especially sudden. With a 92% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and a legion of fans calling it one of the best sci-fi films of the decade, Dune: Part Two has managed to achieve the rare feat of being both a box office juggernaut and a critical darling.

If you’re in the UK, Dune: Part Two isn’t available altogether — requiring you to watch it on Now TV on a streaming subscription, or buy/rent it through other services like Amazon Prime Video.

The sequel picks up right where 2021’s Dune left off, following Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides as he navigates the politics, prophecy and power struggles of Arrakis — trying to avenge the betrayal of his family in the first film.

Alongside him, Zendaya’s Chani and an ensemble cast featuring Florence Pugh, Austin Butler and Javier Bardem bring weight to the film’s slow-burning drama and massive battle sequences.

Whether you’re in it for the giant sandworms, the sweeping Hans Zimmer score, or just to see Austin Butler looking mildly terrifying in white body paint, it’s a film that delivers on all fronts.

So, if Dune: Part Two has been sitting quietly in your “Continue Watching” queue, now’s your last chance to finish it before it vanishes. After July 1st, you'll need to look elsewhere to experience the sand-swept chaos of House Atreides and the Fremen uprising.

And while July’s removals don’t stop there. Loudermilk, This Is Us, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 also on the way out, making it safe to say that few exits sting quite like this one.

If you’re a US Netflix subscriber and you haven’t seen Dune: Part Two yet, hurry, because you’ve got less than 24 hours before it vanishes.
