Warning: Black Mirror spoilers ahead.
Black Mirror fans have determined the single worst episode of the entire show. The seventh and latest season of the dystopian drama landed on Netflix last month. But it's been a mixed bag in terms of responses.
Some Netflix users vowed to 'cancel their subscriptions' after not being able to finish the first episode starring Parks and Recreation's Rashida Jones and The It Crowd's Chris O'Dowd. Meanwhile, there were talks about a potential spin-off series based on the episode USS Callister.

Backtracking through the seasons, viewers have picked out 'Mazey Day' as the worst episode.

The plot follows: "A troubled Hollywood starlet goes to great lengths to escape packs of invasive paparazzi as she deals with the aftermath of a hit-and-run."
People have turned to Reddit to discuss how 'bad' the episode was.
"Can we agree that "Mazey Day" is the worst episode of the entire show?" one person initiated the Reddit discussion.
They added: '"It doesn't even feel like a Black Mirror episode,' more like Twilight Zone. Even the worst episodes of the show offer something, but this was just empty."

Some BM fans in the thread agreed, writing: "I wouldn’t say in the show but definitely in the season, yes. I think season 5 was definitely weaker.
"I think Mazy day would’ve worked if it was a little longer. It felt way too rushed at the 2nd act and then that’s it, it just ends."

On Episode Hive, the episode currently holds the lowest rating of the season with a rating of 5.30, knocking 'Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too' (Season 5) off its previous low score of 6.1.

"Again, didn't feel like a Black Mirror episode at all. Could be "American Horror Stories" but not BM. What a letdown," one review on Episode Hive read.
But not everyone is slamming the episode. Over on Rotten Tomatoes, Mazey Day managed a 60% rating, with some critics defending its unconventional style.
"One of the weirdest, most atypical Black Mirror episodes I have ever seen, but its ending was so surprising and clever that it worked. At 40 minutes, it was also the shortest," wrote one critic.
"This episode shines because of the plot's simplicity," another commented.

But like many mixed episodes, critics also pulled on what they thought it could've done better.
"An episode that promises more than what it delivers," one wrote while another added: "“Mazey Day” is one of the rare instances where Black Mirror feels as if it’s behind the curve in what it’s investigating."
