There's no end to YouTube pranks, and while some recently landed creators in hot water for everything from assault to going to areas that are off limits, others are using their platform to ridicule hate in 2025.

We're sure you've all heard about the controversial Vitaly Zdorovetskiy and the fact that he faces up to 24 years in a Filipino jail, or what about Mykhailo Viktorovych Polyakov leaving a can of Diet Coke on the forbidden North Sentinel Island, influencer Ethan Guo being trapped in one of the most remote places on Earth, or Johnny Somali being arrested in South Korea?

While we don't condone any of these actions, you've got to admit that these content creators don't seem to fear the consequences of their actions. Now, another group of YouTube stars has caused a stir when they visited America's most 'racist' city to poke the hornet's nest.

In a video titled "We Pranked America's Most Racist Town", the MindSquire boys visited Texas' Vidor. With a population of 9,686 in 2024, Vidor is known as a sundown town, which is a term to describe all-White municipalities or neighborhoods that practiced a form of racial segregation.

Although U.S. District Judge William Wayne Justice ordered all 36 Texas counties to desegregate in 1993, the Ku Klux Klan went as far as hosting rallies supporting an all-white Vidor.

In the video, MindSquire explains how Vidor was previously a sundown town and even proudly displayed signs that read "Whites only after dark". There are tons of mentions online about it being a 'hateful' city that still has issues with race, although there are plenty of interesting articles about what happened when the Black Lives Matter movement found a place in Vidor.

MindSquire decides to 'prank' Vidor after stopping at the nearby Beaumont. While in Beaumont, one local black resident said: "You go to Vidor after dark, you might not come back."

Spending four days 'undercover' in Vidor, the boys noted how Vidor's population is 93.79% white and just 6.21% 'other'. Setting up a fake group known as The Unity Project, they tried to persuade the people of Vidor to sign a petition advocating for moving 5,000 black residents into the city.

As you can imagine, this didn't go down well. The video also recalled an incident where Vidor tried to move in four black families in 1994, which resulted in them quickly moving out following a vocal backlash.

They later met a woman selling Confederate flags, saying the 'loves' that Vidor has the reputation of being America's most 'racist' town. It wasn't long before the pranksters were being posted in local groups, with Vidor's population warning people to stay away from them.

It only got worse when they attempted to sell BLM and transgender flags at a Vidor flea market. Then, things culminated in the big prank as MindSquire purchased space on giant billboards that read: "Vidor ❤️ Black People".

With the billboards being posted in local Facebook groups, comments included, "Dear lord, I hope this is just a joke," "Stop this crap," and "Burn 🔥 it down...a** clowns 🤡."

Even though the group admits that their pranks don't prove that everyone in Vidor is racist, they conclude that it doesn't exactly seem like the most progressive place in the USA.
