There's been a recent run of YouTubers, Kick stars, and general content creators causing a nuisance online, with various 'prank' videos getting out of hand.

While some continue to find this kind of content funny, those involved are seemingly starting to learn that actions have consequences.

Away from the YouTuber who left a can of Diet Coke on the outlawed North Sentinel Island, Johnny Somali creating havoc in South Korea, and the influencer who was stranded in Antarctica when he landed there 'illegally', Vitaly Zdorovetskiy is arguably the most infamous.

Zdorovetskiy was already controversial, making a name for himself with his VitalyzdTV YouTube channel and numerous scandals.

This included running onto the pitch at the 2014 World Cup final between Germany and Argentina, being arrested for climbing the Hollywood sign in 2016, and spending a night in an Egyptian jail after he scaled the Pyramids of Giza in 2020.

One video was deemed too much and landed Zdorovetskiy in a Filipino jail. In the clip, he's seen threatening to rob bystanders, stealing a security guard's hat, and a patrol motorcycle. He also trespassed into a McDonald's and is accused of making derogatory comments and gestures toward a surfing instructor in Boracay.

Both Russia and the USA have refused to accept him, and recently, boxing star Quinton "Rampage" Jackson gave an update on Vitaly's situation.

The former MMA champion and close friend of Vitaly shared a video where he told Adin Ross that Vitaly might not make it out alive.

Telling the fellow steamer about the harsh conditions Zdorovetskiy is being held in, Jackson said, "It's the worst place to go to jail." He goes on to say: “They hate his a**, they said he might get killed in there."

Alongside Russian ambassador Marat Pavlov warning citizens not to 'pull a Vitaly', Philippines President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos said the streamer's actions were "deeply disrespectful to Filipinos."

This is emphasized by Jackson, who maintains that prisoners and guards alike 'hate' Zdorovetskiy because he disrespected the culture.

There haven't been many updates on Vitaly, although a picture shared on the Taguig City Jail Male Dormitory Facebook page showed someone resembling him being baptised during a Father's Day religious programme in June 2025. Could Zdorovetskiy have found religion and be turning over a new leaf? It came after a March 2025 post where he shared a video and captioned it saying, "Blessed for the opportunity to show these people how much Jesus loves them 🙏."

All of this is joined by a September 2025 update from his lawyer, with Atty Baby Arcega arguing that Vitaly has since 'found his faith' and is looking for forgiveness.

Still, with charges ranging from 18 months to a maximum of 24 years, it'll likely take more than a baptism and a few social media posts to save Vitaly Zdorovetskiy from a lengthy stint behind bars.
