What happened to those fresh-faced YouTube stars of yesteryear? For every Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson who's remained a staple of our screens, there are another thousand who've faded into obscurity, vanished under a cloud of controversy, or simply pivoted to other revenue streams.
One of those is 18-year-old Piper Rockelle, who, after making a name for herself as part of "Piper's Squad" and then being dramatized for Netflix's Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Influencing, has now taken a very different career path.
Having posted her last YouTube video in December 2024, Rockelle then gained recognition for her content through the Bop House collective on TikTok. Sharing more 'adult' content as part of the collective that OnlyFans content creator Sophie Rain founded, Rockelle had also teased her eventual move to OnlyFans.

Just months after celebrating her 18th birthday, she launched her page on the paid subscription service and claimed to have shattered the record for one-day earnings on OnlyFans. Many claimed that this was just some elaborate Photoshop work, leading on from conspiracy theories about Lil Tay's move to OnlyFans, but this doesn't seem to bother Rockelle, who's back to promote her content.
Brushing off the swathes of negativity that's being thrown her way, Rockelle took to Instagram and revealed what she's going to do next. Instead of splashing the cash from her supposedly bumper earnings, the content creator suggested she'll focus on her education. Then again, the joking nature of her post and promotion of her OnlyFans suggests she's poking fun at the whole situation.
Speaking to her followers, Rockelle said: "I think I'm going to go to college, I'm going to scratch OF and I am never going to do that again, that was not me, not what I was passionate in.
“I hated taking all those beautiful divine photos, they were disgusting and you should definitely not go look at them because you will probably be sick to your stomach.
“Erm, so yeah, I am going to go to college, let me know what colleges I should look at.”
The comments were full of concern for the young creator, with one person saying: "Piper just stop...this isn't. Okay."
Another added: "Piper going to college is a great choice, a lot better than doing this to be honest. I watched you growing up and I never really thought you would lead in this direction.
Others supported her and said she can do what she wants with her own body now that she's 18, as someone else concluded: "She doesn't deserve the hate. She's an adult, she can make her own choices in life. She's not going to stop even if you tell her to. I respect her, I watched her when I was younger and I'm not saying she should still do OF, but it's her life and she can do what she wants. Leave her alone."
One comment referred to her photos as a 'scam', hinting that they might not be as X-rated as some would like, but at the end of the day, Rockelle seems determined to continue with this current trajectory.
