It stems from their fight back in 2021

Logan Paul might be rolling in the money these days, but that doesn't mean that he's willing to forget about what some people owe him — especially when the figures are as high as the debt currently possessed by Floyd Mayweather.

Mayweather has certainly earned is fair share of cash throughout his lengthy boxing career, and has capitalized on that following his retirement from official competition by fighting in a number of high-profile exhibition bouts.

Similar to the 'blockbuster' fight between Jake Paul and the long-retired Mike Tyson in late 2024, many of Mayweather's fights have commanded significant purses in the tens (and sometimes hundreds) of millions despite having no sporting ramifications.

He's stepped into the ring with former UFC champion Conor McGregor, KSI's younger brother Deji, and even has a planned fight with the aforementioned Tyson for some point this year.

One of his most high-profile fights occurred back in 2021, however, as Mayweather took on former YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul with the battle going the full eight rounds, following which no winner was announced.

Official purse stats state that Paul walked away with 'just' $250,000 whereas his opponent netted a staggering $10 million payout — although the former YouTuber has now claimed that the reality is far different.

Speaking on The Iced Coffee Hour podcast, Paul revealed that Floyd Mayweather allegedly still owes him $1.5 million from their fight after a pre-fight mixup that cost the YouTuber signfiicantly.

"He still owes me a million and a half, maybe more," Paul revealed in the bombshell reveal, going on to explain exactly what happened.

"He pre-sold the fight using my likeness to some company in Dubai or the Middle East, this is my understanding of it, for $10 million cash. We ended up doing the fight in the States, with a different company.

"That is the company that put up the fight, that is the company that paid me. But he sold our fight, with my name and likeness, to someone else in Dubai for $10 million cash. That's our fight bro. Our deal was 15%, he f***ing smoked me."

Paul, as you can probably imagine, never ended up getting his fair share though and further complications down the line have led him to believe that it might never come his way in the end.

"That company that paid him that money is suing him, I actually don't know the status of that lawsuit, I should check in because he still owes me money, but he has a bunch of legal trouble at the moment. I don't think I'm ever getting the money."

He's certainly made up for it with his recent business dealings though, as he just broke the record for a trading card sale at auction, parting ways with his beloved Pokémon card for a figure over ten times larger than what he's owed from his one-time in-ring competitor.
